Days after news broke that Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker left the band's tour to deal with a family emergency, his wife, reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian, who is currently pregnant with her fourth child, has taken to Instagram to reveal that their baby almost died.
In a heartfelt post made on September 6, Kourtney who announced her pregnancy in June after a long fertility journey, thanked her doctors, saying that her baby had to have "urgent fetal surgery."

Kourtney first expressed her gratitude.
"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life," she wrote on Instagram in her first post in a week. "I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this."
Kourtney has never been through anything like this before.
Despite having three other children, pregnancy complications are new to the soon-to-be mom of four.
"As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery," she wrote. "I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear."
It has been an eye-opening experience for her.
"I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant," Kourtney continued.
We're sure Kourt hopes that sharing her experience will help bring more awareness to maternal and fetal health issues, and that one day she'll share exactly what went wrong, and how she and her baby ended up in the life-threatening situation.

Her 'baby boy' is safe.
"Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing. ," Kourtney ended the post.
