While Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's relationship seemed to come out of nowhere, the hints have been there for a while. What started out as a friendship recently turned into a hot-and-heavy romance that has their fans riveted — and now, the couple who keeps making headlines is officially married and expecting a baby together.
Kourtney and the Blink-182 drummer have had several run-ins with each other over the years, beginning in 2017, when they were both with other people. But it appears their friendship continued to develop over time and eventually grew into much more. By January 2021, Kourtney and Travis were officially a couple and since then, they haven't been shy about sharing their love (and PDA) with the world, and by October of that same year, they had decided to spend the rest of their lives together.
After ending her long partnership with Scott Disick — who is the father of her three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign — Kourtney moved on, dating Younes Bendjima and Luka Sabbat. But now it seems she's ready to settle down with Travis — forever.
Travis, meanwhile, was previously married to model and actress Shanna Moakler, and he and his ex share two kids, Alabama and Landon. The musician also briefly dated Rita Ora in 2015. But these days, he only has eyes for the oldest Kardashian sister.

Travis, a reality show veteran himself, was initially attracted to Kourtney's sister Kim. He spoke to Us Weekly in 2015 about his friendship with her, saying: "How could you not stare at Kim? Mind you, I enjoyed hanging out with Paris [Hilton], but I love curvy girls. Kim was eye candy. I was in no way disrespectful to Paris, but I couldn't keep my eyes off Kim!" Nothing romantic ever happened between the two, but that brought Kourtney and Travis into the same social sphere from then on.
Dinner, Anyone?
Travis and his daughter, Alabama, had dinner with the whole Kardashian crew in October 2017, an event he recalled while appearing on a segment of Entertainment Tonight. Alabama apparently saw an instant bond between her father and the famous family. "Actually, the other night I had dinner with all of them, and they were really sweet," she told the outlet (via Us). Travis then added, "I told her she had a power dinner. I told Alabama, 'That was a really cool dinner to be a part of.'"
First Sighting
Kourtney and Travis first sparked dating rumors in September 2018 when they were spotted leaving a restaurant together. The eatery was a vegan one in Los Angeles, so we know that at least their eating habits and lifestyles were in sync from the start. Later that same month, the two attended Hillsong Church together (guess they have their faith in common, too).
Joining With Friends
The two clearly couldn't stay away from each other because just a few months later, they were spotted having dinner with Kardashian family friend Larsa Pippen at the Crossroads restaurant in LA. When asked whether the two were a couple, though, Travis denied the rumors at the time. He told E! News: "Kourtney's like a dear friend. That's it. I mean, I love her to death. I love her family to death. But, yeah, just friends."

Mixed Messages
Dating speculation ramped up again when Travis left a few flirty messages on Kourtney's Instagram feed. A red rose emoji on her sultry mirror selfie had the rumor mill buzzing. Kourtney later wrote "wow" on one of the throwback videos Travis shared. Then when Kourtney posted pictures from his favorite film, True Romance, he commented, "So cool."
Family Time
In January 2021, both Travis and Kourtney posted pictures from Kris Jenner's Palm Springs vacation home — meaning they both had to be there together. Reading between the lines keeps us fans glued to their social media for clues of this budding romance.

Now that the cat was out of the bag, the couple shared that they spent the national day of love, Valentine's Day, together by posting a picture of their roaring fire. Steamy romance books are made of scenes like this! Later, Travis posted a poem he wrote — "Roses are red, violets are blue, garlic bread, Blink-182" — along with a close-up snapshot of Kardashian's ankle adorned with a diamond bracelet.

By February 2021, the couple finally posted their relationship proof on Kourtney's Instagram account. A photo of the pair holding hands in a car confirmed their relationship in living color. We wonder what that car conversation was all about …

Real PDA
Before March 2021, we didn't actually have any photos of the couple to speak of. Then the pair was spotted hugging on a date at Crossroads Kitchen in West Hollywood. (Paparazzi also snapped pictures of them outside the restaurant.) An inside source reported to Us at the time, "Kourtney and Travis are doing really well. Kourtney is so smitten with Travis, and everyone around them loves them as a couple."
The Lovebirds
In March 2021, Travis shared an intimate message on his Instagram Story where Kourtney declared her feelings for him. The handwritten note read, "I love you," and was signed with a heart. Over the summer of 2021, Kourtney and Travis ended up quarantining together — and boredom led to them making a big change in the process.
