Kris Jenner Finally Opens Up About the Surgical Procedure Behind Her New Ageless Look

Recent photos of Kris Jenner have left fans in awe of how she has seemingly “aged backwards.” Though she’s 69 years old, fans told Kris that they’ve nearly mistaken her for one of her much-younger daughters. According to Kris, this is “aging gracefully” — with the help of a facelift.

Kris opened up about her dramatic transformation during a recent interview.

Kris is gracing the cover of Vogue Arabia’s September issue. The publication noted that “September usually means a reset in fashion with young models wearing the looks of the season,” but featuring Kris was a way of “twisting conventions.”

Calling her a “modern grandmother” with “an unmatched cross-generational likability factor,” the publication asked Kris about a subject lots of people have been talking about: her face.

During the interview, Kris admitted to getting a facelift because she felt she was in need of “a refresh.”

She said she did it to ‘be the best version’ of herself.

It’s not the first time Kris has had a facelift. She told the publication, “I had a facelift about 15 years ago, so it was time for a refresh.” When it comes to what motivated her to get one this time, Kris added, “I decided to do this facelift because I want to be the best version of myself, and that makes me happy.”

She suggested that she respects people who don’t have any cosmetic work done as they age. But it sounds like, for her, not getting it done might make her feel like she has “give[n] up.”

In her mind, cosmetic surgery can also be a way of ‘aging gracefully.’

Kris told the publication that getting older “doesn’t mean you should give up on yourself.” She explained, “If you feel comfortable in your skin and you want to age gracefully — meaning you don’t want to do anything — then don’t do anything. But for me, this is aging gracefully. It’s my version.”

She said she has shared “some details” of the procedure because it could be “helpful” and “very inspirational to people who aren’t feeling so great about themselves.”

Reacting to Kris’ transformation on Instagram, some people did seem to find it inspiring. “I want to be Kris Jenner when I grow up!” one fan wrote. Several people noted that they might start “saving up” for a similar procedure. However, others were far more critical and reminded Kris and her followers that “it’s OK to age.”
