Before Kris Jenner married Robert Kardashian Sr. and welcomed four children with him, the late attorney was in a relationship with Priscilla Presley (after her marriage to Elvis Presley, of course). After Priscilla went into details about her relationship with Robert in her new memoir, Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, a source close to the Kardashians claims that Kris is “hurt” by Priscilla drudging all this history up again.
Priscilla shared moments from her relationship with Robert in her memoir.
As Radar Online reported, at one point in the memoir, Priscilla wrote about a time that Elvis called her after their divorce while she was in bed with Robert. “He’d have gone ballistic, maybe literally, if he’d known Robert was in my bedroom. Elvis always carried a loaded gun, sometimes more than one,” she wrote.
She also told a story involving one of Kris and Robert’s daughters.
Previously, People reported that Priscilla also included an anecdote about Kim Kardashian calling her while Robert was on his deathbed, allowing them to have “one last conversation” before he died.
“He was the kindest of men, and I remember him with great affection,” Priscilla said in her book.
Kris is upset that Priscilla is bringing their relationship up again.
“It’s difficult for Kris. It’s hurting her having this sensitive topic dredged up all over again,” a source close to Kris told Radar Online, adding, “Kris was just 17 when she met Robert – and only 22 when she married him. But he clearly had affection for Priscilla. Kris always feared that he was carrying a torch and Priscilla was the one who got away. She could see it in his eyes and behavior. He was devoted to Priscilla and considered her a good friend — even after their breakup.”
Their former flame always “cut deep” for Kris.
“Kris felt badly about how she treated Robert in the marriage, but there are two sides to that, as he was a flirt as well,” the source continued. “Things cut deep, and Robert’s feelings for Priscilla was one of them. Kris never felt comfortable around her, no matter how much she tries to say to the contrary.”
