Khloé Kardashian has been single for years after her split from ex Tristan Thompson. For a while, she said she wanted to focus on herself and her children. But recently, she told Today.com that she’s open to dating again and finding her “forever person.” Apparently, her mother, Kris Jenner, already has someone in mind.
According to a new report from In Touch, Kris hopes Khloé will give Scott Disick a chance, even though he’s her sister Kourtney’s ex.
It might seem like an odd pairing, but Kris reportedly has her reasons.
Presumably, if you were trying to set your daughter up with someone, one of your other daughters’ exes would not be your first choice. But Kris has reportedly been worried about Khloé, and because Scott continues to have a relationship with the family, she’s aware of what’s going on in his life as well.
“Kris is pushing for Khloé and Scott Disick to get together,” an insider told In Touch. “Sure, it would be unconventional, but she hates seeing Khloé so lonely, and Kris knows Scott is lonely too.”
Is the fact that they’re both lonely a good enough reason for them to date? Not if you were to ask Kourtney, apparently.
As you might imagine, Kourtney is not exactly thrilled.
And can you blame her? Kourtney is happily married to Travis Barker now, but that doesn’t mean she likes the idea of her sister dating her ex, whom she also shares three children with. According to the publication, Kourtney “is totally stunned that this is even a real discussion.” Which, honestly, fair enough.
The situation is reportedly driving a wedge between Kouétney and Khloe. The insider claimed “Kourtney is threatening to cut Khloé off if this thing with Scott goes any further.”
But in all fairness, it doesn’t sound like she’s blaming Khloé (or Kris) for how things have progressed so far. “She hates how Scott has sunk his claws into Khloé,” the source said. “In her view, he’s part of the reason she hasn’t moved on after Tristan Thompson. Khloé spends all her free time hanging out with Scott.”
Khloé has said she’s open to dating again.
That, of course, does not necessarily mean she wants to date her sister’s ex. During a recent interview with Today.com, she said, “I want to put myself out there. I do want to find a forever person. I also want to just date and not have pressure on that.”
However, she feels she’s out of practice and doesn’t really know where to start. “That’s what I first want to ease myself into it,” she said. “I just don’t even know how you do that in today’s day and age. I need help. It’s tough, right?”
The rumors about Kourtney and Scott aren’t totally random. though. On an episode of The Kardashians, she joked about them having a child together. In one scene, they were seated together and Khloé said, “So, are we having a baby together or…?” At the same time, Khloé made the same joke when speaking to her mother. “I wanted to know, would you have my baby?” she asked Kris. “It would be surrogate.”
