It's no surprise to hear many famous celebrities have homes in Malibu, California, because looking at the view — and all the nature around — would be a dream for us. It's a crystal clear decision! Also clear in Malibu is the price tag of a piece of land (or a gorgeous home). It's expensive to live there, and that's probably why there are so many celebrities living there, including Kristen Stewart.
Kristen has been in the public eye for a long time. She rose to fam in 2008, when she was cast as the co-lead of the super-popular book series adapted into a movie, Twilight. She played the character Bella Swam through the whole series. Kristen was in a real-life relationship with her co-star at the time, Robert Pattinson, though there was drama in their relationship. (They broke up, and the two moved on.) As a fun fact, K-Stew was known as the "world's highest-paid actress from 2010 through 2012" between her Twilight movies and as a spokesperson for some high-profile brands.
Kristen is more private than most celebrities, so it makes sense that she lives in Malibu, where it's a little more secluded. She currently owns a 5,800-square-foot home in a private location. Her home is built into a hillside, has five bedrooms and five baths, and the ocean view from her private terrace is out of this world. It seems she's in the mood for a change of scenery, because Kristen's home is currently on the market. Front of the House
Don't sleep on this home just because of its lack of curb appeal. Seriously, at first glance, it doesn't look like it's a whole lot — but it's huge. The home has a lot of square footage, in line with other celebrity mansions. We love all the greenery that frames the home and gives it a calming feel right away.
Gorgeous Steps
This home is built right into the hillside, which means there are many stairs to walk up to the top of the home. Instead of just having the sterile-looking concrete stairs, there's a whole lot of beautiful landscaping done here to soften the stairs with greenery. This has been done so beautifully. It gives the home instant beachy cool-vibes, and a calm feel.
Foyer
Kristen Stewart's foyer gives a lot to soak in right away. The space is big, and we love so many people can filter into the home without feeling too bunched in. To the left is a beautiful staircase, but mostly our eyes go to all this artwork. We're getting an eclectic surfer vibe from walking in here, between the nautical-inspired giant rug to the surfboard hanging on the wall.
Nautical Living Room
Here she keeps that calm and beachy feel with the nautical themed living room. The oversized striped carpet is the same as in the foyer. There's a lot of space here, and seriously, these large windows are absolutely stunning. Being able to see the ocean from the living room is worth the price tag right there.
Simple Kitchen
Kristen isn't known for being flashy, and that is the feeling that we get for this home of hers, too. This isn't a typical chef's kitchen, which seems standard in most celebrity homes that sell for multiple millions of dollars. Here, it's far more toned down. The natural wood cabinets seem to be the focus, but it's nothing too flashy at all.
Small Pops of Color
In this view of the kitchen, we can see some small pops of color between the lower and upper cabinets. It's nothing over the top, just very classic. It has been staged with some oversized glass vases. In the back, we can see the kitchen table, likely where Kristen has her coffee and breakfast, and maybe a quick meal at the end of the day. The view from over there is incredible.
Beachy Dining Room
It's easy to see the elements that Kristen likes in terms of home interior. It has beachy vibes, which makes sense being in Malibu. We love that nothing in there is too serious — like this dining room that feels like a picnic bench, and we love that. The glass walls, which aren't quite windows but let in so much light, are a gorgeous touch.
Little Balcony Nook
Imagine having coffee here in the morning and watching the sun come up. We love this little space, and for someone like Kristen — who we believe likes to have some time for quiet reflection, an introvert in a way — this space is ideal for that. Not only would the mornings be lovely for relaxing, but a nightcap before heading to bed would be incredible watching the stars from here.
Busy Home Office
More of her personality comes out in the decoration in the office space. We love the bookshelves, and the rug in here is interesting. Unlike the other areas in the home, which seem airy and minimalist, this one is more fun and playful. We see board games on the shelves and interesting things on the wall.
Upstairs With a View
One of the major selling points of this home is the view, and this upper level of the home is a real winner. This space would look amazing with the light, no matter the time of day. The morning would be beautiful as would the sunset — even a rainy day would be calming and gorgeous. We like that Kristen Stewart made this a multi-use room, with comfy seating, a guitar, and a TV.
Deck With a View
This private terrace is out-of-this-world gorgeous, and we're sure it's one of the home's most-used areas. It overlooks the ocean, and not only is the view incredible, but the smell of sea air is likely to be perfect in this space. The private deck also looks like a beautiful space to unwind after a long and stressful day.
Roomy Garage
In celebrity homes in the past, we've seen that sometimes they like to convert their garages into gyms or spaces for their kids to play. Kristen has opted to use her sizable two-car garage for just that: a garage. She's got her two vehicles parked in here, and it's clear that there's still so much space to walk around and to use as storage if needed. We see Kristen also has her surfboard rack here.
Lush Backyard
For a hillside home, there's quite a bit of outdoor space. The landscaping has been done so intentionally. It's full of lush green trees and bushes with earthy stairs mixed throughout. We also love the plant wall for privacy up at the top there, too. We can imagine spending so much time out here.
Private Hot Tub
One of the nicest ways to relax at the end of a long day is to sit in a hot tub when the sun has gone down. We imagine that's one of the selling points of having one in this home. Not only is it a private and sizable tub, but it's surrounded by beautiful views everywhere, and it would be hard to feel too stressed out soaking in here.
Breathtaking Views
Looking off the balcony from Kristen's home, this view of the ocean is exactly why this home is worth so much money. We're not sure why she'd want to sell such a beautiful space, but this is what is so lovely about living in Malibu. We're imagining being able to hang out up here, reading a book or grabbing some vitamin D, and the calm feels that would come from living right off the ocean breeze.
