Jason and Travis Kelce had a surprise guest on the May 21 episode of their New Heights podcast. While Jason and Travis discussed NFL rule changes, his daughter Bennett clearly sounded upset. Though she didn’t seem particularly interested in talking about football, her contribution to the podcast was adorable.
Kyle and Jason’s daughter Benny was in time out.
Former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason clearly got distracted by something while filming the podcast. He explained to his Kansas City Chiefs tight end brother that his daughter Benny, 2, was in time out.
He then addressed her directly. “Benny, are you OK?” he asked. “You don’t like the rule change either? You think the division winner should keep their home game, right?”
He then invited the toddler to appear on the podcast. “Yeah. Yeah, I think she thinks that,” Jason concluded. “Benny, do you want to help out with the rule changes? Come here, sweetie.”
Benny offered a very straightforward response.
Before Benny shared her thoughts, her Uncle Travis said, “She might be the smartest 2-year-old ever if she agrees with this.” However, Benny clearly had more pressing concerns and wasn’t interested in discussing NFL rules. “Benny, what do you think about the Tush Push?” Jason asked his daughter. “Should the Eagles be allowed to do the Tush Push?”
Benny didn’t appear on camera, but she could be heard saying, “I’m in time out.”
Jason joked that his daughter wasn’t ‘being any fun.’
“You’re in time out?” Jason responded. “Yeah.” Then he asked his question again before eventually giving up: “Should the NFL be in time out for proposing banning the Tush Push? No? OK, you’re not being any fun right now.”
Kylie previously revealed that Benny was not super thrilled to have a baby sister.
It’s unclear why Benny was in time out. However, she did recently become a big sister for the first time, and it’s certainly been an adjustment for her. In April, Kylie revealed that Benny was actually “ticked” and “annoyed.”
“She told me, ‘Put baby down. Why baby came?’” Kylie shared. In May, Jason said Benny has still “been struggling” to adjust.
Benny also appeared in a clip for her mom’s podcast.
Benny is a star this week. In addition to making an unexpected appearance on her dad’s podcast, she also appeared in a short promotional clip for her mom Kylie’s Not Gonna Lie podcast. Kylie and Jason welcomed their fourth daughter, Finnley “Finn,” in March, so Kylie took a break from recording her podcast. On May 22, she shared a clip featuring her four daughters — Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 4, Bennett, and Finn — and announced that her podcast will return on May 29.
Hopefully, Benny will be out of time out by then!
