Critics have a lot to say about the recent birthday party Kylie Jenner threw for her 6-year-old daughter, Stormi. After photos and videos hit social media, it's left a lot of people scratching their heads or flat-out mad.
Stormi recently turned 6, and her whole family got together to celebrate.
Kylie is known for not going small for birthday parties.
It actually seems to be the thing all the Kardashian/Jenners do for their little ones.
Fans knew a big, elaborate party was coming.
But when critics saw photos and videos of the big event, they didn't hide their feelings with many calling the party "disturbing" and "disrespectful."
The negative reactions all centered on the decorations used to celebrate the 6-year-old.
On Reddit, backlash came pretty quickly.
There are several Reddit communities that regularly discuss the Kardashian/Jenner family, and this event was no exception.
In the KUWTK Reddit community, one user posted a video that was shared to social media, starting the thread with: "this is soooo-."
Critics hated the entertainment on the dance floor.
In the clip shared, a dancer is moving on the Stormi dance floor in a costume with an oversized head that people say is supposed to resemble the birthday girl.
Instead, however, it looks more like that Red Light Green Light doll from Squid Games.
"Yooooo give this kid a Paw Patrol party or something!" one critic wrote.
"This really looks terrifying," another person added.
"Is it supposed to be Stormi?" someone else questioned. "It’s bad and scary."
"Thanks for the nightmare fuel. I was running out," another person shared.
"The only way I can make this seem fine is if I convince myself that Kris is in there," joked another person.
Another Reddit thread in KUWTKsnark forum thought this costume was creepy.
"This legit is going to give me nightmares," one critic wrote.
"Yikes. That's gross," shared someone else.
"This is legitimately creepy," another Reddit user wrote.
"This is legitimately insane," added another person.
Critics were also upset by the decorations, calling them 'disrespectful.'
In another thread in the KUWTKsnark Reddit community, one person shared some photos of the party and she wasn’t happy.
"Personally I find this so disrespectful to the victims and the victim’s friends and family of the Astroworld tragedy," the Reddit user wrote. "Not only did no one take any direct responsibility for the tragedy itself where people were injured and killed, youngest a child of 9, but they keep reminding everyone with these distasteful birthday parties."
The decorations she's speaking of do resemble the artwork and decorations that were part of the Astroworld tour for Stormi's dad, Travis Scott.
"I just read about Astroworld," one critic wrote under this thread. "I didn't realise that the big head was so clearly linked to it! I am actually disgusted by this!!"
"Every time I see these props from Astroworld, I think of death," admitted someone else. "Torturous deaths that did not have to happen. The fact that they use this imagery repeatedly shows a tremendous lack of compassion."
It's not likely any of the Kardashian/Jenners will respond to the critics. Regardless, hopefully Stormi had a good time.
