Kylie Kelce recently revealed that she and her husband Jason Kelce are considering naming their fourth baby after Kate Hudson’s character in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. On the latest episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie told actress Kate Hudson that How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is her favorite romcom. In the movie, Kate portrays an advice columnist named Andie Anderson. Kylie thinks this is a “bad— name,” and said that it might be the name she and her husband choose for their fourth daughter.
The name makes sense to them because it matches their other kids’ names.
Kylie explained why she and Jason think Andie could be a good name for their baby. They’re already parents to Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 2. This is one of the reasons they’ve considered naming their fourth child Andie. “We were like, ‘Andie would fit in there and it would be so cool,’” Kyle said.
Kate agreed that it would be a great name for Kylie and Jason’s daughter.
Unsurprisingly, Kate loved the romcom-inspired baby name idea. “Andie would be so cute,” she told Kylie.
Kylie went on to say that she happened to meet someone who chose that name for their child. “It’s funny, I actually met someone at a pool and we were talking about girl names and they said they named their daughter Anderson, as in Andie Anderson, and called her Andie,” Kylie told Kate.
However, Kylie and Jason remain undecided.
Though they have considered naming their baby Andie, they might end up selecting a different name for her. “It’s on the list,” Kylie clarified. “It’s in consideration. But, to be fair, we have not come up with anything.”
Commenting on a clip from the episode, fans reacted to the baby name idea. One person commented: “I have an Andie girl. Best name if you ask me haha.”
Others agreed that the name Andie is “gorgeous” and “such a cute name.”
While some fans said they hope Kylie and Jason end up naming their daughter Andie, other fans shared different name ideas with Kylie. One fan suggested choosing another Kate Hudson-inspired name. “What about the name Hudson???” they wrote.
Kylie and Jason have selected names often associated with boys for their daughters — but they are not ‘trying for a boy.’
On an earlier episode of her podcast, Kylie opened up about some of the most frustrating questions people seem to feel comfortable asking pregnant women. In particular, she’s tired of people asking her if she and Jason are going to “keep trying for a boy.”
“Don’t ask if we’re gonna keep trying for a boy,” Kylie warned. “If another person asks me that, I’ll warning you right now, you might get dropkicked.” She added that her family was clearly “meant to have all girls.”
“Four girls strong,” Kylie continued. “Watch out, world.”
She also spoke about the same topic when she appeared on Allison Kuch’s Sunday Sports Club podcast. Kylie said that people often act like Jason needs to have a son for some reason. “People put this strange pressure on the idea that my husband is supposed to have a boy because he’s going to follow in his footsteps and he’s going to be a football player and he needs to play catch in the yard,” Kylie explained.
However, considering the fact that their daughters play catch with him “all the time,” this is a non-issue.
On Allison’s podcast, she said, “It is crazy that people feel so inclined, even now, pregnant with a child, they will say to me, ‘Would you still try for a boy?’ No. No, I wouldn’t, actually. Thank you so much for asking.”
