Life After ‘Teen Mom:’ Here’s What the Cast Is up to Now

Teen Mom first debuted in December of 2009 on MTV. This reality series was a spin-off of 16 and Pregnant. The show was a hit and inspired many spin-offs of its own including Teen Mom 2 and Teen Mom 3. It's still on the air today.

The first ladies to be featured on the show were Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell, Amber Portwood, and Farrah Abraham. The original show rebranded in its fifth season and became Teen Mom OG. Let's take a look at how some of the stars are doing today.

Amber Portwood appeared on the series with her then-fiancé Gary Shirley and daughter Leah in 2009. After the couple separated, Amber was eventually granted full custody in 2011. Amber struggled with substance abuse and anger management issues and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Amber had a son, James, with boyfriend Andrew Glennon in 2018. The couple broke up the following year. After a fight between Andrew and Amber got physical, Amber pleaded guilty to domestic battery and intimidation and was under probation for a year. In 2021, Amber was granted a restraining order against Andrew. In 2022, Andrew was granted full custody of their son. In 2024 Amber ended her engagement to Gary Wayt after he briefly went missing. She is a cast member on Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.

She appeared on Ex on the Beach, Celebrity Big Brother and Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars Family Edition.

She came back to the Teen Mom world with Teen Mom: Family Reunion. She left after the first season to seek treatment after allegedly being sexually assaulted by Dominic Foppoli, a former California mayor. These days she is active on OnlyFans.

In 2015, Taylor and Maci had a daughter, Jayde Carter. Their son, Maverick Reed, was born the following year. Taylor and Maci own a clothing company called TTM, or Things That Matter. Maci struggles with drug addiction and has spent multiple stints in rehab to combat this.

She is still involved with the series, which chronicles her bumpy relationship with her ex. This includes a restraining order against him and multiple arrests. It affects the custody of her oldest son, Bentley.

In 2012, Bristol married Dakota Meyer. The couple share Sailor and Atlee but divorced in 2018. Bristol started dating contractor Zach Towers in 2020. She appears to be dating a new mystery man now.

She wanted to focus on raising her kids away from the franchise. “I want to focus on my self-growth and my kids and I didn’t feel like the show aligned with the goals that I have anymore,” she stated to E! News’s Daily Pop. “I decided it was time for me to move on.”

These days she stays busy with her KILLR podcast network. She also hosts three podcasts of her own: Coffee Convos, Barely Famous and Baby Mamas No Drama.

The couple married in 2016 and went on to have three children. Cole and Chelsea left the show in 2021.

“We’re proud to have been able to share our story and are so grateful to the fans who have followed our journey from the beginning,” Chelsea explained. “Our next chapter in life will focus on developing our brand and taking things to the next level with new endeavors and expanding family businesses.” You can catch them on HGTV’s Down Home Fab these days.
