In the two years since the first season of Love Is Blind premiered on Netflix, it's become a total reality TV phenomenon. The concept is wild: Strangers meet and chat each other up in pods, where all they have to go off of is each other's voices and the conversations and connections they have, and that's how they figure out if they want to get engaged, sight unseen. The rest of the show follows their journey to the altar (or, in most cases, a breakup), and it's the kind of fascinating show that many of us just can't keep our eyes off.
Though Love Is Blind's second season has been most fans' focus over the past several weeks, we can't help but be curious about where the show's first crop of couples are today. After all, it's been a while since that After the Altar special premiered, and a lot has changed since then!
Keep reading to find out where the cast from season one of Love Is Blind is today and whether or not they managed to find love — with each other or someone else.
Giannina Gibelli
Giannina and Damian's relationship was practically destined to fail from the start, so it's no surprise that not only did they not get married, and they're definitely not together today. Giannina is now a brunette and living her best life — her Instagram is full of photos of her with her friends and traveling.
In January 2022, reports surfaced claiming that Gianna is now dating Bachelor Nation alum Blake Horstmann after they met while filming a yet-to-be-aired competition show for Paramount+.
"They're taking things slow," an inside source told People. "But [they] seem really happy together."
Damian Powers
Considering the fact that the After the Altar special didn't exactly paint Damian in the best light, should we be surprised he's using social media a lot less these days? It doesn't seem like things worked out with Too Hot To Handle star Francesca Farago, either, even after all the drama on the show.
Lauren Speed
Those who were rooting for Cameron and Lauren are going to be very happy: They're still living happily ever after, three years later. But Lauren also seems to be thriving outside of her marriage too — in February 2022, she announced that she (along with comedian Chris Burns) is hosting Netflix's reality TV podcast We Have the Receipts.
"I think the podcast is such a fun way to connect with the fans and talk about reality TV and pop culture and just relax, let our hair down, and laugh," she told People. "The fans are gonna enjoy it, I'm having a ball thus far. It's a great way for [my fans and I] to connect and I'm really excited about it."
Cameron Hamilton
Not only is Cameron still happily married to Lauren (duh), but the couple also coauthored a book called Leap of Faith, and they have big things in the works that we'll find out about soon.
"We do have some really big projects that will come. I would say one probably this year and one next. So we've already got stuff going into 2023," he told Elle.
Cameron & Lauren's Future
According to what Lauren recently told Entertainment Tonight, she and Cameron are "actively trying" for a baby, though they don't love that people are frequently speculating about whether she's pregnant yet.
"Even if we post some mundane picture or something like that, the comments are always like, 'When's the baby coming? Is Lauren pregnant?'" Cameron said.
Diamond Jack
Diamond didn't make it very far on the show, given that her relationship with Carlton came to a screeching halt while all of the couples were in Mexico shortly after getting engaged. But it doesn't seem like she has any regrets today, and she even recently appeared on Steve Harvey's Facebook Watch show to play a dating game.
Carlton Morton
Like his former fiancée, Carlton seems to be single these days, too. Right now, his focus is on building his company, Greatness Garden, which works on staffing teams for celebrities, usually as assistants, interns, or videographers all over the country.
Amber Pike
There were plenty of predictions that Amber and Barnett wouldn't work out, but they're still proving fans wrong. According to her Instagram, Amber spends most of her time hanging out with friends (and Barnett, of course), hitting the gym, and traveling.
Matthew Barnett
Just one glance at Barnett's Instagram account tells us everything we need to know: He's still just as goofy as ever. In the summer of 2021, he participated in Netflix's YouTube competition show, Netflix Reality Games, which he obviously took seriously.
Amber & Barnett's Future
In November 2021, Amber and Barnett celebrated three years of marriage, and it seems like things are as good between them as they ever were. By all social media appearances, these two are pretty inseparable — and against the reality TV odds, they're making it work.
Couple Friends
Is it any wonder that the two couples who managed to stay together after the show stopped filming are still good friends? Last year, Barnett, Amber, Cameron, and Lauren all hit Universal Studios Hollywood together — that's a hangout we would have loved to crash.
Jessica Batten
Things didn't work out between Jessica and Mark (who could ever forget the age difference?), but it seemed to have paved the way for her to find exactly what she was looking for. In September 2021, Jessica announced her engagement to surgeon Benjamin McGrath, who popped the question at a winery in California.
Mark Cuevas
A lot has changed for Mark since his Love Is Blind stint. Not only is Mark engaged to Aubrey Rainey, but he's also a father of two. Their first child, Ace Anthony, was born in April 2021, and their second baby boy, Axton Anders, was born in February 2022 — just nine months later, since he was born premature at 32 weeks. After nearly a month in the NICU, Axton was finally able to go home to be with his family.
Kelly Chase
After things didn't work out between Kelly and Kenny on Love Is Blind, it looks like Kelly is still a single woman. Right now, she seems focused on her personal coaching business, selling a program she calls Goddess Magic to help women on their journey to self-love and confidence.
Kenny Barnes
Kenny Barnes seems to be doing really well post-Love Is Blind — especially where his romantic life is concerned. In August 2020, he got engaged to girlfriend Alexandra Garrison, and the couple seems to be planning a wedding for later in 2022.
