What to Know
Another Love Is Blind baby has made his way into the world. This week, season four couple Zack Goytowski and his wife, Bliss Poureetezadi-Goytowski, announced the news that their second child is here, and now that they’ve shared his unique name, people have a lot of questions… especially since it’s spelled in such a way that they automatically assumed it must have been a typo. At this point, a lot of fans can’t even figure out how to pronounce it.
Zack and Bliss’ baby was born on June 29.
In a story published by People on July 30, Zack and Bliss confirmed the arrival of their second child, a baby boy.
“We are overjoyed to share that our sweet baby boy has arrived,” the couple said. “Our world has yet again, shifted, changed, expanded and become even more magical. Our hearts have doubled in size!”
Now, are you ready for his name? Here it is: Polaris J ³ ohn Pax Goytowski. And yes, the J is cubed on purpose, because according to the proud parents, it’s supposed to be “three dimensional.”
“His middle name is a three-dimensional name represented in two-dimensional space in honor of Zack’s Grandpa, John Bliss’s twin brother and Zack’s Grandma Jean,” Zack and Bliss told People.
Even the name having a meaning behind it isn’t enough to convince fans that it was a good choice, though.
Sure, Zack and Bliss chose to cube that J because it represented multiple people in their families, but fans simply can’t get past a middle name that they originally believed was actually a typo. And as many pointed out in a post on Reddit, how do you even pronounce that name? Is it John, or is it “J-cubed-ohn”?
“Imagine being a kid having to explain that to EVERYONE you encounter,” one person wrote. “Not cool on the parent’s part. You can honor loved ones without giving your kid a weird name.”
Another added, “These children aren’t accessories. They’re going to go to school and join the real world and this sets them up for ridicule and difficulties and a speed bump already in place.”
Some people didn’t like the name for totally practical reasons, too — how is filling out his name on forms and having his name printed on his driver’s license going to go in the future? Let’s not forget that eventually, he’s going to have to learn to write this name at school…
They’re big fans of unusual baby names.
After all, their first child, a little girl, is named Galileo, so it’s probably safe to assume that they were never going to choose a name that’s even close to the top 100 in popularity.
But speaking of their 2-year-old daughter? According to what her parents told People, she’s adjusting to the big sister life just fine.
“Galileo is the best big sister and loves him so much,” they said. “Seeing them together is the sweetest thing.”
