Move over Leonardo DiCaprio, because Luke Wilson is ready to take your crown as a Hollywood A-lister who dates women young enough to be their daughter. Well, A-lister might be a stretch these days, but when Luke shared the news of welcoming a baby with his decades younger girlfriend, Kendall Yates, people still couldn’t help but notice their age gap.
Like, we’re talking a gap large enough for Luke to be Kendall’s dad in another life. Granted, they are both adults. However, one has the legal ability to rent a car and the other doesn’t, so there’s that. And you know the internet had a field day with memes and posts cracking jokes about the couple’s age gap.

Page Six reported that Luke and Kendall stepped out with a baby carrier at an event for the Netflix series The Hawk, on which Luke stars. They welcomed a baby girl, with the Old School actor being 54 and his girlfriend being 24 at the time of their daughter’s birth. When the announcement was shared on X (formerly Twitter), the age gap is what people could not stop talking (and meme-ing) over.
One user commented on the X post with, “She’s one year older than me. I can’t even IMAGINE being with a nasty 54-year-old. Ewwwwww.”
Another wrote, “Imagine being 30 when your wife was born. No thanks.”
“She’s closer in age to the baby than to him,” someone else commented.
A user also joked, “Wishing them health and sleep lol because that newborn + 54 year old combo is gonna be a marathon.”
Others couldn’t help but compare the real life situation to Luke’s character in Old School, who is an adult man who sleeps with a college student. This appears to be life imitating art in a pretty big way.

As far as the public knows, Luke has never been married before. But in 2007, he spoke to People about wanting to start a family. He was in his mid-30’s at the time, and little did he know that his future baby mama was, at that time, around five years old and gearing up for kindergarten. Yeah, the numbers are accurate there.
“I’m not seeing anybody,” Luke told the outlet at the time. “I’m not being evasive. I don’t have a girlfriend, but I wouldn’t mind one. I definitely want [kids] at some point.”
He also spoke about adding more grandkids to the family and said they “needed a girl.” Several years later, Luke did welcome a baby girl.
Luke Wilson’s girlfriend is pretty low-key.
According to Us Weekly, Kendall has a much more private life than you might expect for a celebrity or even someone who is celebrity adjacent. Maybe that bodes well for their future, if she isn’t an influencer or content creator, though she is Gen Z, and that’s the typical move for Gen Z-ers in the public eye.
The outlet also reported that Luke and Kendall began dating in 2023. At that time, Kendall would have been around 21 years old. Maybe it says something that the couple stayed together and even welcomed a kid together, but it’s also telling that they seem to enjoy privacy, given their respective ages now and when they first stepped out in public together.
