Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly welcomed their first child together in March 2025, and her name is certainly unique. On June 17, MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker, revealed their daughter’s name for the first time. In a video shared via Instagram, the musician played a song on a ukulele for his daughter. She sat across from her dad and enjoyed the music. In the caption, he wrote the little one’s name: Saga Blade Fox-Baker.
He also mentioned Megan Fox in the caption.
Shortly after their pregnancy news came to light, Megan and MGK split up. The former couple has reportedly not gotten back together since then. However, a source told People that MGK “does occasionally stay at Megan’s house,” with the caveat that it’s “only part-time and solely to spend time with the baby.”
Though they’re reportedly not “romantically involved,” MGK chose to honor Megan in his post and even tagged her. “thank you for the ultimate gift @meganfox,” he wrote in the caption.
An insider has explained the meaning behind the name.
Saga Blade Fox-Baker is definitely an interesting name, but Megan and MGK reportedly chose it because it “really felt right to them,” an insider told People. According to the source, the name “Saga” felt symbolic because they’re currently navigating “a new chapter.”
The insider added that Megan is “doing really well” and MGK is “trying to be the best dad he can.”
Megan and MGK actually teased the name years ago.
Now that their baby’s name has been revealed, a clip in which Megan and MGK spoke about middle names has resurfaced. The former couple was already thinking about the middle name “Blade” as early as 2021. In a GQ Couples Quiz from that year, Megan asked MGK, “Can I guess what your middle name would be?”
At the time, she guessed “Blade,” which is now their daughter’s middle name.
MGK announced their daughter’s arrival on March 27.
The musician shared a black-and-white video in which he held the newborn’s hand. “she’s finally here!! our little celestial seed 🥹💓♈️♓️♊️ 3/27/25,” he captioned the post.
About two months after Saga Blade was born, Megan took to social media to reflect on her pregnancy. Via her Instagram Stories, she shared a clip from the show Overcompensating to her Instagram Stories and told her followers that she was 38 years old and six weeks pregnant at the time.
To her, the pregnancy served as proof that women “do not have an expiration date.”
“Please stop listening to the patriarchy,” she wrote. “Women are eternal light beings. We do not have an expiration date. Don’t let them rob you of your power.”
