Second time's the charm for Mama June Shannon and Justin Stroud, who renewed their vows over the weekend. The couple said "I do" nearly a year ago in a secret courthouse ceremony, but they wanted to celebrate their love by doing it all over again — this time while surrounded by their nearest and dearest.
The bride and groom were all smiles, according to photos shared by Page Six.
It appears Mama June and Justin invited their family along for the ride as they traveled to Panama City, Florida, for their big day.
"This was the first time the family had all been together since 2014," Mama June told the news outlet. "So it was really special to get married in a place where my family and I have had so many memories."
Mama June was walked down the aisle by her daughters.
There was no evidence of any of the longstanding tension between the 43-year-old mom and her children, as her daughters — 28-year-old Anna Cardwell, 26-year-old Jessica Shannon, 23-year-old Lauryn "Pumpkin" Efird, and 17-year-old Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson — escorted her down the beachfront aisle to Justin. The girls were all glammed up for the special occasion.
The couple kept their ceremony very quiet.
According to the bride, they wanted things to be as family-friendly as possible and opted to forgo some of the typical wedding traditions. "We wanted to have a small and very intimate wedding, so we didn't have any groomsmen or bridesmaids," Mama June said of the small-scale celebration.
This time, Mama June and Justin let the kids in on the happy news.
The newlyweds were getting a do-over from their last wedding, which they kept secret from both Pumpkin and Honey Boo Boo.
"We were very, very shocked," Pumpkin revealed to E! News shortly after learning her mom had secretly married Justin during a courthouse ceremony in Georgia in March 2022. She added that she only happened to find out after finding a "receipt in [her] PO box that said [June] had applied for a marriage certificate."
It looks like the pair's love story has a happy ending.
Judging by the photos, we have to admit that everyone looks like they're super excited to be taking part in Mama June and Justin's vow renewal. Hopefully this is a sign that everything is better within the controversial reality TV family and that Mama June and her kids have finally repaired their fractured relationships.
