Mandy Moore is a mom of three. On Wednesday, September 25, the This Is Us actress shared that she has welcomed her third child with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith. “Lou is here! Louise Everett Goldsmith arrived happy, healthy, expeditiously and right in time for Virgo season,” Mandy, 40, wrote on Instagram.
In her post, she referred to baby Lou as her “absolute dream girl.” “Her big brothers are already as obsessed with her as we are,” she continued.

Mandy and her husband are 'endlessly grateful.'
On Instagram, Mandy shared a photo that shows her holding Louise in the hospital. She wrote that she and her husband are “endlessly grateful for our family of 5 (and our very own big three).” Their family is currently “soaking in every moment of this special time.”
She announced her pregnancy in May.
On May 31, Mandy shared an adorable pregnancy announcement on Instagram. In the photo, her two sons, August “Gus” Harrison Goldsmith, 3, and Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett Goldsmith, who is almost 2 years old, wore matching shirts that read “middle” and “big.” In the post, she seemed to reference This Is Us.
On the show, Mandy portrayed Rebecca Pearson, who had three kids: two boys and one girl. “Sometimes life imitates art,” Mandy captioned the post. “The third in our own Big Three coming soon. Can’t wait for these boys to have a baby sister. 💓💓💓”

Just before she gave birth, Mandy said she was being followed.
In the midst of an exciting time in her life, Mandy noticed that someone — likely a member of the paparazzi — had been following her. She posted on her Instagram Stories to speak out against what was happening to her. “I’m literally about to give birth, like, any second, any day,” she said in the post, per E! News. “And for the last few days, there’s been someone who has followed me—or us—in their car, everywhere.”
She added that “it’s not a ‘woe is me’ thing” but “it’s just an annoying part of the job that mostly does not exist for someone like me. I just have a real distaste for it.”
In June, Mandy reflected on becoming a family of five.
Mandy spoke to People back in June about the “biggest difference” she noticed during her third pregnancy. The main difference is that she was “just chasing two wild toddlers” during her third pregnancy, she told the magazine.
She also reflected on the joys of being a mom during this stage. “It’s so much fun,” she told People at the time. “I know that parents sort of love to say it just gets better, but I truly believe that is the case. We have one that’s obviously potty-trained and the other’s still in diapers, but they’re only 20 months apart so they’re just starting to interact with each other.”
At the same time, parenting is hard work, she admitted.
Though being a parent comes with a lot of joy, it’s also “hard work,” she previously told People. “I think, it’s just having grace for ourselves as parents and as humans and recognizing that each day is going to present its own challenges, but its own immense joy as well,” she said.
