As the star of one of the biggest box office successes in recent years — Barbie, duh — Margot Robbie is at the top of her game, but she won't forget those who helped her get there. Margot opened up about her relationship with her mom.
While appearing on CBS Sunday Morning, Margot shared how she thanked her mom, Sarie Kessler, for all the support she'd given her over the years.
"Everything I owed my mom, I had it written down. She'd take money out of the, like, house mortgage [to] lend me money. So I always knew, I was like, 'I gotta pay that back,'" she said. "And then one day, when I made enough money, I just paid that whole mortgage off completely.
"I was like, 'Mom, don't even worry about that mortgage anymore. It doesn't even exist anymore,'" she added.
Sarie is frequently Margot's red carpet date.

Not only was Sarie by Margot's side for the London premiere of Barbie, but she's also been her date to several red carpet events — including the Oscars, where they are in this photo.
Margot might be a busy lady these days, but it appears she always makes time for her mom.
Margot also shared how 'lucky' she feels.

"I know I'm hardworking and blah, blah, blah, but I'm also the luckiest, luckiest, luckiest person in the world," she said during the interview. "Every time that I did something I was like, 'Now it's the top. It will never get better than this.' And then somehow it's just kept getting better and better."

It debuted at $155 million during its opening weekend and only seems to be drawing in more viewers from there.
Paying off a mortgage is no small feat.

There's no doubt that her mom was totally blown away by that act of kindness — especially because, as moms, we freely give our love and support (and money) to our kids with no expectations of being paid back.
However, if any of our kids want to pick up a bill or two …
