Marilee Fiebig has finally broken her silence on the alleged affair between her husband T.J. Holmes and his former Good Morning America cohost Amy Robach. She may have taken her time when it came to speaking out, but she made sure that when she finally did, she did not mince words.
Marilee released a scathing statement through her lawyers.
The newly single mother sent a stern message to her ex through her legal team at Phillips Nizer. She called T.J. out for a "lack of discretion, respect, and sensitivity" in the way he handled the end of their 12-year marriage in a statement released directly to the Daily Mail, the news outlet that originally broke the news of the affair.
All of that publicity couldn't have come at a worse time.
The couple couldn't keep their hands off one another as they traveled at the end of December, even though there was always a photographer close enough to snap a photo of the canoodling.
Seeing images of her father making out with another woman had to be hard for T.J. and Marilee's young daughter, who was also trying to cope with her father not being around as much during the holidays.
Marilee was left to ensure their daughter wasn't hurt by everything going on between her dad and Amy.
"During the holiday season and in light of the challenging times, Marilee's sole focus has remained on the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter," lawyer Stephanie Lehman explained in her statement via the Daily Mail.
"To that end T.J.'s lawyer and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously, and as amicably as possible," the statement continued.
It sounds like a lot of people have sent their condolences to the family.
The lawyer continued by saying that "Marilee has been touched by the outpouring of support and looks forward to a new beginning in this new year."
We're sure she's been reeling since the news first broke of T.J. and Amy's offscreen romance, when the Daily Mail published photos of the pair on what looked like a romantic getaway in 2022.
Amy's husband also has distanced himself from his estranged wife.

Although it doesn't look like Andrew Shue has made things legal yet by filing paperwork for a divorce, he has made his split official in another way. The Melrose Place alum has deleted all photos of himself and Amy from his Instagram.
As hard as this all has to be for Marilee and Andrew, our hearts really go out to the children who will be impacted the most by this affair. Hopefully they're getting all the love and support that they need right now.
