Martin Scorsese’s Daughter Responds to Horrific Comments About Her Looks

Hollywood legend Martin Scorsese’s 26-year-old daughter, Francesca Scorsese, has built a huge following on TikTok — both because of the videos that feature her famous dad and the ones that are just about her and her life. And now that she’s following in his footsteps and scored a new role in a TV series, she’s facing some truly disgusting comments from people on the internet… not just about her nepo baby status, but about the way she looks.

Francesca was cast in Mr. & Mrs. Smith season 2.

@metroentertainment Francesca Scorsese is set to star in Prime Video's 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' Season 2. Despite her famous father, Francesca's become an actor in her own right, starring in shows like 'We Are Who We Are' as well as films like 'Roommates.' She'll appear alongside Mark Eydelshteyn and Talia Ryder but plot details are currently unknown. @Francesca 🔥 #mrandmrssmith #cast #prime #francescascorsese ♬ War Worship – Spiritual Warfare Music Epic

On May 19, multiple outlets including Deadline reported that Francesca had landed the role of one of the Mrs. Smiths in the TV series’ second season, and when the news was shared on TikTok by Metro Entertainment, the comments about Francesca weren’t exactly positive. Along with people hinting that her famous last name likely earned her the role, many focused on her body.

“Did she eat Mrs. Smith?” one of the particularly horrifying comments on the post read, while another wrote that she has a “face for radio.”

Now, she’s speaking out.

Francesca shared her response to the hate in a TikTok video of her own, calling the comments “some of the worst” she’d ever seen about herself.

“Comparing me to a fridge or Miss Piggy or saying I have a face for radio and that I’m incredibly ugly and fat,” she said. “I’m not the most beautiful girl in the world. I’m not the skinniest girl in the world. I’m chubby, I know it. But, like, what the f— does it matter? I don’t understand how hard it is to be a kind human being.”

She also addressed the nepo baby accusations, adding that she acknowledges the “doors” that are opened for her because of who her father is, but that it doesn’t keep her from working hard to establish herself on her own.

The comments on her video might just restore your faith in humanity after seeing all that hate.

So many people commented on her video to support her that Francesca ended up thanking them in a comment on the post, too, writing, “There are so many lovely comments on here and I can’t respond to you all but I am taken aback by the love and support and I just want to say I love and appreciate all of you. Thank you.”

It’s awful to think about the hate she’s received, but good for her to speak out. No matter who someone is, it’s never acceptable to make comments like this about their body. Are these people for real?
