What to Know
Kylie and Jason Kelce most certainly have their hands full with four daughters all under the age of 7, but their hard work as parents isn’t going unnoticed, including by Matt Damon.
When Matt appeared on New Heights, the podcast Jason hosts with brother Travis Kelce, this week, he praised Kylie for how well she parents her kids, and as a girl dad to four daughters himself, he knows exactly what that struggle can be like when you’re in the trenches.
Matt said that a friend of his recently got to observe Kylie as a mom in the wild.
Ming Tsai, a chef at the Montana restaurant BāBā, was there when Kylie and her four girls — Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley — stopped in to eat, and he was so impressed with the way she wrangled her daughters that he told Matt about it, who then had the chance to pass on his compliments to Jason.
“He told me Jason Kelce’s wife is a rock star,” Matt said on the podcast. “He goes, ‘she came in, eight month old on one arm, she’s got a toddler here, she’s got four kids hanging off her — she is a boss.”
“She is a boss,” Jason agreed. “And she’s gotta deal with me, too, a fifth kid.”
He also shared a piece of (rather emotional) parenting advice.

While on the podcast, Matt shared some of his insights as a dad of girls himself (though the daughters he shares with wife Luciana Barroso are now in their teens and 20s).
“Your kids show up — like that spirit that soul is there, and it’s going to do what it’s going to do,” he told Jason. “The nurture part is very important; you’re going to be helping with that, but they really are who they are right away.”
He also imparted some wisdom about just how fast the time with them goes: “My daughter [Gia] broke her collarbone, and this morning she was getting ready for school. She’s 17, and she asked me to brush her hair. And so I brushed her hair, and I mean, I hadn’t brushed her hair [in] I don’t know eight, nine, years?”
He’s so right. They really do grow up too fast.
Jason had some advice of his own to dispense.
Jason’s advice was less emotional than Matt’s, but it was still pretty solid.
“Don’t listen to any advice anybody else gives,” he said, pointing out that kids are all so different that there truly isn’t a one size fits all method or trick to parenting.
Besides, it doesn’t sound like Kylie and Jason need any advice anyway. They’ve got this!
