Before welcoming her baby girl in March, Megan dealt with pregnancy loss. Both Megan and MGK wrote about the miscarriage. Megan turned to poetry, writing, “I want to hold your hand/ hear your laugh,” in her book of poetry titled Pretty Boys Are Poisonous. Later, MGK released a song called “dont let me go,” which also references their pregnancy loss.
When Megan announced her pregnancy in November 2024, she seemed to allude to her previous miscarriage. “nothing is ever really lost. welcome back,” she captioned the pregnancy announcement post.
Based on her most recent post, it seems like Megan’s pregnancy was unexpected. On May 21, the actress returned to Instagram and shared a powerful statement with her followers. In it, she referred to her pregnancy as “unplanned but a happy surprise.”
She urged other women to ‘stop listening to the patriarchy.’
Megan shared a clip from the show Overcompensating to her Instagram Stories and told her followers that she was 38 years old and six weeks pregnant when it was filmed. She shared this to remind people that women “do not have an expiration date.”
“Please stop listening to the patriarchy,” she wrote over the clip. “Women are eternal light beings. We do not have an expiration date. Don’t let them rob you of your power.”
MGK also shared an update.
On May 22, MGK shared a photo dump on Instagram. One of the photos casually featured the daughter he shares with Megan. The rapper used the reflection of a car to snap a selfie while he was holding his daughter. “stop what you’re doing these pictures are v important,” he captioned the post.
Some fans immediately spotted his daughter in one of the photos. “MGK with his baby, I’m crying!!!!” one fan commented.

Even before their recent breakup, their relationship was a bit rocky. Megan previously said their relationship is “not for public consumption,” but sources have claimed that they’re simply focused on their daughter right now.
