‘With Love, Meghan’ Viewer Claims She Suffered ‘Catastrophic Burns’ After Following Meghan Markle’s Bath Salts Recipe

On her controversial Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, Meghan Markle shares her favorite cooking, gardening, and hosting tips. After the Duchess of Sussex gave a bath salts gift to one of her friends on the show, one viewer decided to try to mimic the recipe — and is now threatening to take legal action against Meghan.

When she tried to take a bath with the Meghan-inspired bath salts she made, Robin Patrick experienced a “mild tingling sensation” that later transformed into “burning and significant discomfort.”

She allegedly developed lots of uncomfortable symptoms after trying the recipe.

Robin told RadarOnline.com about how Meghan’s bath salts recipe has affected her. According to Robin, the uncomfortable symptoms that developed after she used the bath salts still linger. She told the publication that the bath salts allegedly led to “catastrophic burns” that still impact her today.

“To date, the burns are still not healed and are quite uncomfortable,” she alleged. “The others are just sore as heck to touch.” She also claimed that, on a daily basis, she’s still dealing with “persistent burning, discomfort, and the emergence of new blister-like sores and ulcers” after trying to use the bath salts.

The symptoms have interfered with her life.

Because of the lingering pain, Robin allegedly still struggles to do the things she wants to do. “These symptoms have disrupted my daily and nightly routines, preventing me from taking warm showers or wearing clothing over the affected areas,” she told RadarOnline.com.

She also claims that the symptoms have caused “emotional distress, potential post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), loss of confidence in appearance, disfigurement, shortened life expectancy, and long-term medical care for injuries that may worsen over time.”

She has accused Meghan of ‘reckless disregard for public safety.’

In Robin’s opinion, Meghan should’ve warned viewers of her show about potential adverse effects. She’s reportedly threatening to sue Meghan, Netflix, and Archewell Productions in attempt “to deter similar conduct in the future.”

The symptoms she has experienced are especially concerning because she has diabetes. “As an individual with an autoimmune condition and compromised immune system, compounded by diabetes-related dry skin on my legs and feet, I am deeply concerned about the risk of infection, sepsis, or other complications,” Robin asserted.

However, Meghan’s lawyer has reportedly pushed back against these claims.

Meghan’s bath salts recipe includes Epsom salt, Himalayan salt, arnica oil, and lavender oil. Epsom salt use is not recommended for those with diabetes. According to Meghan’s lawyer, Cameron Stracher, Robin should’ve checked “the instructions on the Epsom salt packaging” before attempting to use it for bath salts.

“The use of Epsom salts is contraindicated for individuals with diabetes except on the advice of a physician,” he reportedly wrote, adding that “it was not foreseeable that you would disregard the instructions on the Epsom salt packaging in attempting to make and use your own bath salts.”
