Meghan Markle Hints at Going Into Business With Daughter Lilibet

Though Princess Lilibet is only 3 years old, her mom, Meghan Markle, is already thinking ahead to a future in which they might start a business together. The topic came up on a bonus episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. On the episode, the Duchess of Sussex spoke to someone who is well-versed in collaborating with her daughters: Tina Knowles, who is mom to Beyoncé and Solange Knowles.

Meghan Markle asked Tina about her experience working with her family.

On the podcast, Meghan asked Tina about her experience working with her daughters, noting that she might be interested in doing the same one day. Tina told Meghan that “there are difficulties sometimes because if you’re dealing with your child or you’re dealing with your mother, you know, you have disagreements.”

At the same time, Tina described collaborating with her daughters as “the best.”

In the future, Meghan might want to work with Lilibet.

It seems like collaborating with Lilibet is something that Meghan has already considered. “Just curious, I mean, I wonder if one day I’ll be in business with Lili and we’ll be building something,” Meghan said while talking to Tina. In the past, Meghan has spoken about how her current business ventures, like her Netflix show, her lifestyle brand, and her podcast, have made it easier to balance her work life and family life.

Lilibet has already starred in some of her mom’s promotional posts.

Because of the strong connection between Meghan’s current projects and her life at home, Lilibet and her brother Archie have appeared in several photos Meghan has shared to promote her brand. Though her kids’ involvement has been pretty minimal, and their faces aren’t visible in any of the photos, reports indicate that Meghan and Prince Harry might not see eye-to-eye on this decision.

Meghan also named one of her desserts after Princess Lilibet. Ahead of her As Ever brand launch, Meghan shared her recipe for “Chantilly Lili,” which she described as “a delicious dessert named after our darling daughter.”

Before welcoming her two children, Meghan imagined that she would give speeches with them by her side.

On a May 2025 episode of her podcast, Meghan said she “always wanted to be a mom.” She had “a whole vision” for what motherhood would look like. “I was like, ‘Oh gosh I’m going to give a speech with a baby on my hip,'” Meghan said on her podcast.

In reality, however, Meghan said motherhood is “not the way I envisioned it.” She loves being a mom, but being in the public eye poses some challenges. Though she hasn’t given any speeches with her kids, maybe they’ll start a business together someday.
