For those who cannot stand Meghan Markle, seeing her on the cover of a national or international magazine does not feel great. It’s hard to say just why her haters ride so hard against her, but they really do love to hate the duchess. So when she showed up on the cover of a tabloid and not a more respected publication, users on Reddit seized the opportunity to make fun of her.
Again, Meghan’s haters know no bounds. They love to make fun of her, troll her, and generally make sport of talking trash. To them, Meghan’s role in the British Royal Family was doomed from the start. So for her to pop up on a tabloid cover as a major story, albeit sensationalized to be sure, it was another point for those who do not support Meghan.
Meghan Markle made the cover of a magazine that people couldn’t help troll her over.
In the Reddit post, the user who shared it posted a photo of the National Inquirer cover, which features Meghan, a small photo of the late Princess Diana, and the headline ‘Meghan’s Vulgar Act At Diana’s Grave.’ It’s the sort of sensationalized headline and content you would expect from the outlet and there’s little chance of there being any merit to the claim. But Meghan’s haters had a field day with that one, further proving that Meghan can do no right in their eyes.
“I don’t care if it’s the National Enquirer, I just care someone repeated it in print. She’s vulgar, let’s call a spade a spade,” one Reddit user commented. “And if it’s not accurate, I’m sure she’ll sue…so which will it be? Litigation (again) or silence?”
“At last a cover she didn’t have to pay for!” Another hater joked. “In a mag that sells between 75,000-200,000 per issue, I’m so happy for her.”
Other smaller headlines on the cover include claims about Meghan coming between Prince Harry and Prince William and being part of a “money grab” and “emotional blackmail” when it comes to the royal family. Again, these are likely baseless claims. But tell that to those who just can’t stand Meghan and prefer to continue to critique her from afar.
Someone else added some clarity on the alleged “vulgar act” Meghan was accused of. They wrote, “The vulgar act was taking pictures of the kids visiting Diana’s grave and posting them onto Instagram for the whole world to see.”
“It’s just all so abominably TACKY!” Another user added. “Can you imagine going to a loved one’s grave and everyone gathers around for a happy hand waving family photo that you are 100% planning to SELL? WTAF!”
Her biggest haters can’t get enough of the criticisms that the public have for Meghan Markle.
Some of Meghan’s biggest haters came about the moment she joined the royal family and shook things up a bit as an American transplant-turned-duchess. Others were sure there were some protocols that she messed up with the late Queen Elizabeth II and even Catherine, Princess of Wales. Kate Middleton, for those who want to be less formal.
It also didn’t help that there were rumors of drama between Kate and Meghan when Meghan and Harry were still in the UK. Then, they uprooted their lives and officially stepped back from their royal duties, which was another major no-no according to some. Now, Meghan has her every move, professionally and personally, critiqued.
Some speculated once that Meghan Markle was taken off the original cover of an edition of ‘People’ magazine.
This isn’t the first time Meghan was called out about a magazine cover, though. Someone on Reddit posted in April 2026 that Harry and Meghan were booted from the cover of an issue of People magazine. They cited a digital preview of the magazine, which showed Harry and Meghan with a cover story, but then added a photo of the print issue, which pushed the couple’s cover story to a top corner section of the cover, with Goldie Hawn taking up the majority of the space instead.
Someone in the thread commented that the digital issue featured Harry and Meghan, but that the print issue was never meant to. That only riled up Meghan’s haters more, though, who insisted it meant she wasn’t good enough for the print cover. So really, there seems to be an argument at the ready where her critics are concerned.
