Royal Insider Hints Meghan Markle Could Be the Reason King Charles Won’t See Archie & Lilibet

Prince Harry has spent the week in the UK, and this appears to be yet another visit that he will miss out on connecting with his family while he’s in town… unless, apparently, if Meghan Markle decides to make her move.

A royal insider claims that she’s the only one who could convince King Charles to see his son, but she’d have to act fast, since Harry will be heading out pretty soon.

Things got off to a bumpy start when Harry’s invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace was withdrawn right after he formally accepted it, so it looks like he’s not planning on seeing any members of his royal family at all while he’s in town. Instead, Harry seems to be focusing on all the Invictus Games-related events he’s had on his schedule, and instead of bringing Meghan and the kids with him like he originally planned, they are reportedly vacationing in Portugal while Dad’s busy.

Even if Harry changed his mind at this point, it might be hard for him to schedule a time to see Charles. “His only real opportunities [to meet Charles] were yesterday and today,” a royal source told Page Six on Wednesday.

Meghan could turn it all around for him if she wanted to.

The source said that Charles would be a lot more inclined to spend time with Harry if Meghan and the kids hopped over from Portugal to see the family.

“If Meghan comes … with the kids, then it’s more of a possibility,” the insider said.

Another source claimed that late Saturday or Sunday will be the last shots that Harry has at seeing Charles, so it seems like he’d better act fast. There’s just one problem: The fact that a court ruled against Harry’s privacy lawsuit earlier this week.

“It’s hard to see [a meeting] happening now after the ruling,” the second source added.

Harry is reportedly planning to do his best to get his kids to the UK before he leaves.

On Thursday morning, a source told The Mirror that Harry is “frantically” trying to make it possible for Archie and Lili to join him before his trip is over, and if he’s successful, the king is reportedly on board, which could be a good first step in easing tensions between him and his youngest son for once and for all.

“While nothing has been ruled out, conversations remain ongoing,” a source said. “The King would not pass up the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, and if there is a way of making it possible, he will do it.”

Whatever tricks he has up his sleeve, Harry better act fast, because the weekend is already almost here.
