Meghan Markle Was Reportedly Dropped by Her Agency for Being ‘Too Demanding’

At a very pivotal moment in Meghan Markle‘s career, she may be facing a major challenge. Entertainment industry sources are saying Meghan has been dropped by her agent at William Morris Endeavor just days before she’s set to launch her new brand and Netflix series. WME is saying that Meghan is still their client despite this new report, but whether or not it’s true, the rumor is already causing a lot of buzz.

According to what multiple sources have told Page Six, Meghan was recently dropped by WME after not meeting with CEO Ari Emanuel in more than a year, and that final meeting may have gone terribly wrong.

Supposedly, two sources have confirmed that Meghan had a bit of an “outburst” after demanding a meeting with Ari and that the team come prepared with “expected decks and plans,” which may have been for either her personal career or for the future of Archewell. When things didn’t go as she hoped, an argument broke out and “Ari was done with her.”

When it comes to the reason that the agency let her go, it wasn’t just that outburst, though it may have been the final straw in its working relationship with the Duchess of Sussex. Reportedly, it all comes back to her attitude.

A source told the news outlet that Meghan is “too demanding” and “difficult to work with,” so it sounds like the agency may have believed it had no other choice than to cut ties, and reportedly, it doesn’t know anything about what she has in the works right now.

“I don’t know what those projects are, but WME is definitely not working on Meghan’s personal business,” an insider said.

But when it comes to the actual agency? That story is a little different. It hasn’t shared any details to shut down these claims, but in response to the report, a rep from WME told Page Six in a statement, “WME continues to represent Meghan and Archewell.”

It’s not clear what we should believe just yet – if Meghan is still a client at WME or not – but if she was dropped, the timing couldn’t be worse. If this report is legit, let’s just hope she had a backup plan in place!
