Meghan Markle Shares a Rare Glimpse of Archie & Lili Baking Cookies in New Video

After Meghan Markle gave us a more personal peek into who she is and what she loves doing most in her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, when it premiered this week, she’s keeping up the momentum. On Thursday, Meghan shared a video of herself baking cookies with kids Archie and Lili – a rare glimpse into her private life at home as a mom.

Meghan shared the video on her new Instagram account.

In the beginning of the video, we can see 3-year-old Lili standing on a step stool with 5-year-old big brother Archie beside her while their mom prepares cookie dough in a stand mixer on the kitchen counter.

Once the dough is complete, Meghan’s friends (and husband Prince Harry) can be seen helping her roll the dough into balls before flattening them and adding jam.

“When making thumbprint cookies at home becomes a family affair!” she wrote in the caption.

If we didn’t know better, we’d think they were just an average family, not royals.

And it seems at least some people on social media seem to agree, because there have already been plenty of tweets from fans who are totally charmed by the video.

One person posted on X (formerly Twitter), “I love this! H – keeping the laughter flowing, Lili – supervising production, and Archie – giving the cookies a final taste test as they’re being boxed up.”

Unfortunately, not everyone is impressed by the footage.

Though this isn’t from her TV show, one person tweeted, “Parading her kids on her show for the ratings. Sad move.”

Another wrote, “It was only a matter of time before Meghan would start using her kids to get attention. She’s run out of options and is bizarrely desperate to be noticed. Whereas most would have been happy with Prince Charming and lived a life of service in the UK. She wants to be a big star.”

Meghan has been opening up about her kids more lately.

She spoke pretty openly about Archie and Lili on With Love, Meghan, including sharing how much she loves cooking with her children.

“It’s so much a part of what I want them to learn and have these great formative memories of being there with me, and, ‘Oh, mama used to make this!’” she said on the show, per Today. “Also [Harry] is a great cook … and makes a really great breakfast.”
