You may remember Michelle Trachtenberg from movies like Harriet the Spy and shows such as Gossip Girl, but a lot has changed since she was in those roles. Like everyone else, she looks a little different after so much time has passed. But like many celebrities, she's also not OK with unsolicited comments about her appearance, and recently, Michelle shut down questions from her social media followers said she looks "sick" these days.

It all started when Michelle shared a selfie with a fellow former child star.
Here, she's posing with Spy Kids actor Alexa PenaVega as they got together for a hair appointment, and it looks like Michelle decided to go makeup-free for the occasion.
"These kids … now adults getting our roots/hair done! Love this girl," Michelle wrote in her caption.
The selfie raised a lot of questions.
One person pointed out Michelle's "yellow eyes," and another commenter wrote that they thought it looked like she was also dealing with hair loss.
But it was the comment that one fan left, noting that she looked "sick" and asking her if she was OK, that got her to respond.
"Explain to me how I look sick. Did you lose a calendar and not realize I'm not 14. I'm 38. How sad for you to leave such a comment," she wrote.
She didn't stop there.
Just one day later, Michelle returned to share a selfie with a caption aimed at those who have been wondering about the way she looks today.
"I’ve received several comments recently about my appearance. I have never had plastic surgery I am happy and healthy. Check yourself haters," she wrote.

She added one more selfie for good measure.
To really drive the point home, Michelle returned the next day with another selfie, writing, "Fun fact. This is my face. Not malnutrition no problems. Why do you have you hate? Get a calendar."
This didn't do much to quell fans' concerns, though. Even on her latest upload, she still received comments from people who were worried, with one writing, "yeah she is beautiful but she still looks unhealthy. I'm 38 and the whites of my eyes aren't yellow, nor anyone else that I've aged with. People are caring about you, not hating. There's a difference."
Here's hoping Michelle is just fine.
No matter what she might be dealing with, asking questions about someone's appearance usually isn't welcome — no matter how much it feels as if we know actors such as Michelle from shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
We can't blame her for being tired of the comments. Famous or not, she's a real person!
