What to Know
No matter what field you’re in, being a working mom isn’t easy, but a recent experience Millie Bobby Brown had on the set of an interview is opening up that age old conversation all over again. While Millie was filming a video with her Stranger Things costar Noah Schnapp, her baby girl interrupted them by crying off-camera.
And since people were already wondering why Millie’s husband, Jake Bongiovi, doesn’t appear to be very helpful to her while they’re out and about with their daughter, this really isn’t helping his case.
Millie’s daughter can be heard crying during the interview.

Millie and her Stranger Things costars got together to do Buzzfeed’s Kitten interview — the series where celebrities answer questions while playing with kittens. When it was Millie’s turn to sit in front of the camera, she was interrupted by a baby’s cries and was immediately on alert.
“That’s my baby,” she said. “That’s my kitten.”
Some people are wondering where Jake was.
Since Millie was technically at work in that moment, some were wondering why Jake wasn’t caring for the baby.
“Is the father there like… ever?” one fan wrote on X.
Another said, “Honestly, at this point, he’s more of an urban legend than a parent.”
Lately, Jake’s been catching a lot of heat after photos surfaced showing Millie handling their daughter in her car seat by herself as she tried to battle the paparazzi without his help. He was a few steps behind her, though — and even though it’s impossible to know what was actually going on between them in that moment, it hasn’t been a good look for fans who don’t believe he’s putting in his share of the work when it comes to the baby girl he and Millie adopted earlier this year.
Others pointed out a very true statement about babies.
Multiple fans on X did remind everyone that babies do tend to cry even when their parents are around, so it’s totally possible that Jake was off-camera with the baby and she was simply having a fussy moment, as infants are known to do.
“It’s completely normal for babies to cry, and they do cry often. Crying is their primary, and often only, way of communicating a need,” one wrote.
Millie and Jake are still new parents, so it wouldn’t be surprising at all to find out they’re still trying to figure out their rhythm. We just hope baby girl crashing the interview didn’t stress Millie out too much!
