Less than three months after Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown announced that she adopted a baby girl over the summer, her husband, Jake Bongiovi, is coming under fire for his parenting — or, as some fans have pointed out, the lack thereof.
After a video surfaced online showing Millie handling the baby by herself, fans are criticizing Jake for not helping her out as she seemed to be left to battle the paparazzi on her own.

In the video, Millie can be seen getting out of a car while carrying her daughter in a covered car seat as she walks into a building. It’s hard to hear what she’s saying to the paparazzi in the video as she walks past them, but she seems to be giving them a stern warning to stay away from the baby.
Meanwhile, Jake is several paces behind Millie on the sidewalk.
Fans immediately noticed that Jake trailed behind her and the baby without seeming to help.
The video has immediately drawn criticism from Millie’s fans, who believe that not only should Jake have been helping Millie carry their daughter, but he also should have been the one to tell off the paparazzi.
“Imagine not holding the baby, not covering them from the flashes, and then walking behind them like it’s a vibes only day, please be for real,” one fan wrote on X.
Another said, “No baby in his arms, no shielding from cameras … just casually trailing behind? Embarrassing.”
This isn’t the only time that Jake was caught on camera like this.
Now that the video is going viral, people are sharing other recent photos of Jake and Millie out and about with the baby that paint a similar picture, including these photos shared on X that show Millie carrying the car seat, a backpack, and what appears to be a diaper bag on her own.
Still, some fans did come to Jake’s defense, with one insisting, “maybe she just wants to be the one always holding the baby.”
Millie recently praised her husband for what a good father he’s been so far.
In an interview with British Vogue that was published earlier this month, Millie shared that she and Jake divide up the parenting duties equally.
“We are 50-50 on everything,” she said. “That’s why I’m so grateful to have partnered with him in this life — he is just the most amazing dad.”
