In the recent Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, there is a surprisingly relatable scene. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey has just aired and the entire world is buzzing about it. In the middle of that, Meghan gets an encouraging text message from none other than Beyoncé and exclaims, "I still can't believe she knows who I am!" — proving that no matter how famous someone is (and is there anyone more famous than Harry and Meghan at the moment?), they can still turn into a fan girl when Beyoncé is involved.
There's no doubt that there is a certain amount of competitiveness associated with being a celebrity. Actors compete with one another for the same roles or to see whose movie has a bigger box office draw. Singers fight for airplay and to get the most streaming listens. Everyone is trying to find and hang on to their audience, and sometimes celebrity feuds are inevitable.
While we like a good celebrity feud for the drama and gossip of it, we also enjoy the moments when stars turn into fans of each other. Not only does it seem to be true that everyone loses their chill around Beyoncé, it can also be fun to see how famous folks freak out for new Taylor Swift music or when they meet their childhood celebrity crush. Turns out stars really are just like us sometimes.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson Is a Swiftie
Honestly, we could probably do an entire roundup of just moments when celebs were as excited as the rest of us for new music from Taylor Swift. We can't help but agree with Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson that Taylor's 2019 album Lover is filled with bops, as the kids say!
(OK, yes, we also sound old saying that.)
Adele Is a Beyoncé Stan
Beyoncé's 2018 Coachella performance was epic and legendary. Don't believe us, just ask also epic and legendary singer Adele, who was straight up losing her mind while watching the show at home. Yes, that is a trumpet that she is dancing with like people do, right?
Gigi Hadid Loves Blake Lively
Blake Lively is usually on our list of mostly low-key celebs. Despite the fact that she's married to Ryan Reynolds and is besties with Taylor Swift, she's not usually in the tabloids too often and she keeps her kids very private. It turns out she has even more famous friends/fans than we realized, as shown by the gushing tribute that model Gigi Hadid gave her in 2019.
Millie Bobby Brown's Deep Dive on the Kardashians
Anyone who has watched either Stranger Things or the Enola Holmes films on Netflix (which are a very fun choice for family movie night) knows that Millie Bobby Brown is a great actress. But we didn't realize she was a Kardashian super fan until she demonstrated that she can do a spot-on impression of the unique way the sisters talk to each other.
Sophie Turner Is All of Us
Sophie Turner might be happily married (as far as we know) to Joe Jonas, but this snapshot from 2016 shows that her reaction to being in the same room as the dreamy Ryan Gosling is basically how all of us would probably act. We'd have a hard time playing it cool, too!
Emilia Clarke Gets Friendly
This meeting between Matt LeBlanc and Emilia Clarke is basically a collision of massive pop culture moments. Friends was the must-see TV of the 1990s and Emilia's Game of Thrones was one of the biggest hits from 2011 to 2019. It looks like Emilia was beyond excited for a little Joey time!
David Beckham's New Favorite Singer?
We have always assumed that we knew who David Beckman's favorite singer is, or at least which Spicy collection of singers might be his favorite group. Looking at his happy face as he got to meet Stevie Nicks and the rest of Fleetwood Mac, however, is making us second-guess ourselves. Careful, Posh, you might have some competition!
Chrissy Metz Is Starstruck
This Is Us star Chrissy Metz has a gorgeous singing voice (we hear rumors that a country album is in her future) and clearly loves music. She was beside herself when she got the chance to meet Sam Smith backstage in 2017 and, like many of us, she seemed to have gotten a little flustered when it came time to tell them how much she loves their music.
Billie Eilish Meets Her Crush
Billie Eilish has shared in the past that she had an obsessive childhood crush on none other than Justin Bieber. Justin's manager (and Taylor Swift nemesis) Scooter Braun captured the overwhelming moment in 2019 when Billie finally got to meet her childhood idol, and it was the beginning of a real friendship as the two have since collaborated on some music. We love a fan-to-friends journey!
Mindy Kaling, Reality Fan
OK, we have to admit that this one kind of surprised us. When Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn met Mindy Kaling, we would have assumed it was Christine who was the fangirl, not the much more famous Mindy. But it was in fact Mindy who was starstruck. She gushed on Instagram: "I SCREAMED when I was walking out of my dad and stepmom's house and randomly saw @thechristinequinn on a break from shooting Selling Sunset on the sidewalk. It's my favorite show on TV and not in like a 'guilty pleasure' way; that show is SO GOOD."
Sam Smith Loves Lizzo
Chrissy Metz might have freaked out to meet Sam Smith, but Sam has also been on the fan side of a celeb encounter. They were excited to meet Lizzo (and who wouldn't be?!) and judging by this picture, we're going to guess that the feeling was pretty darn mutual.
Emma Watson Meets Her Idol
Emma Watson seems to be a child star who has reached adulthood with a good head on her shoulders and a life lived outside of the tabloids. We love that for her. We also love how sweetly freaked out she was when she got to meet her idol Céline Dion at the premiere of Emma's movie Beauty and the Beast in 2017.
Emma Stone's Mel B Meltdown
Emma Stone is a massively successful actress (and also a pretty darn good singer). But major fame doesn't mean that she's too cool to have a freakout when she gets a video message from one of her favorite childhood singers, Mel B from the Spice Girls.
Selena Gomez Sings Taylor Swift's Praises
Selena Gomez is a huge Taylor Swift fan, in addition to being one of Taylor's closest friends. She has described the "Anti-Hero" singer as being a huge influence on her and said that she is obsessed with Taylor's songwriting process and genre-bending musical career. Same, Selena, same!
Lizzo Is the Ultimate Fan
We adore Lizzo for about a million reasons, but at least one of them is because she seems to be so excited when she gets to meet fellow celebs that we also love. Not only did she famously shoot her shot with Chris Evans, she's also a total fangirl for Harry Styles. Who doesn't relate to that?
