What to Know
Ranker, a data-driven media company, has shared its lists of the most disliked celebrities of 2025, and it has left many people saying the same thing: Why are Meghan Markle and Kim Kardashian nearly as unpopular as actual criminals? It’s probably no surprise that Sean “Diddy” Combs earned the number one spot on the list. In 2025, he made headlines due to allegations of abuse, sex trafficking, and racketeering. His high-profile trial ended in July 2025, and he was found guilty of transportation for prostitution. Men ranked just below him on the list have also been accused of serious crimes.
Meanwhile, some of the women on the list… appeared in unpopular shows and sold products that people didn’t want? As one person on Reddit noted, “All of the top men are violent abusers and all of the top women are just obnoxious capitalists.” Presumably, the list would also look quite a bit different if it included political figures, but per Ranker‘s guidelines, the list features “no career politicians.” Since the list was first publicized, the rankings have changed, given that people have been invited to move the listed celebrities up or down on the list. Here’s where they stand currently:
1. Sean “Diddy” Combs

Again, no surprises here. Diddy was sentenced to more than four years in prison for his crimes in October 2025. He was indicted on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution in September 2024 (but was later acquitted of the racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges). Disturbing details continued to come to light in 2025.
2. Andrew Tate

The influencer is a self-proclaimed misogynist who is known for radicalizing boys and young men. He is under criminal investigation in multiple countries, including the United Kingdom, Romania, and the United States. Andrew and his brother face charges of rape, assault, and human trafficking in the U.K., and in Romania, they were barred from leaving the country due to accusations of human trafficking, sexual assault, money laundering, and forming a criminal group to sexually exploit women.
3. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew)

2025 was not a good year for the former Prince Andrew, who was stripped of his royal titles and was forced to leave his Windsor mansion, Royal Lodge. Andrew has caused problems for the royal family for years now, largely (but not exclusively) due to his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The royal family experienced even more pressure to take action in 2025 after the publication of the late Virginia Giuffre’s memoir, Nobody’s Girl, in which she wrote about Andrew’s alleged abuse, and after leaked emails led to increased scrutiny.
4. Bill Cosby

The fourth most disliked celebrity of 2025 is also well known for being a sexual predator. Though he has tried to stay out of the spotlight after his 2021 release from prison, he continues to make headlines due to the many allegations against him. Dozens of women have accused him of sexual assault, and he was found guilty of sexual assault and declared a “sexually violent predator” in 2018.
5. Chris Brown

In the eyes of many people on social media, Chris Brown is actually far too popular. Many people do not support Chris due to his long history of violence and legal issues, including the assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. In spite of this, the singer’s year was not all that bad, given that he went on a successful stadium tour that reportedly grossed more than $285 million. Although people are apparently still buying his concert tickets, he managed to earn the #5 spot on Ranker‘s most hated celebrities list. On Reddit, one critic noted that they were thankful “Chris Brown actually made the list,” adding that they feel like they’re “living in hell with how many people still support that man.”
And the other unpopular celebrities are…
Next on the list were influencer and boxer Jake Paul, actor and convicted rapist Danny Masterson, influencer and wrestler Logan Paul, rapper Kanye West, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Clearly, no women made the top 10, but several were in the top 20, including Ellen DeGeneres, Kim Kardashian, and Meghan Markle.
When the list first went viral, these women ranked higher than the aforementioned men, leading people to call it “unbelievable” and misogynistic. As some Redditors pointed out, Meghan, Ellen, and Kim might be “unlikeable” and “not someone’s cup of tea,” but they are not in the same category as known predators.
Even when the ratings changed, people were totally disgusted by how Ellen, Meghan, and Kim were even near men like Diddy. “I do get people not being fans of MM but her being anywhere near a top 10 when you have literal rapists and almost murderers in the celeb world is insane work and misogynoir,” one critic wrote. “Being mildly phony is not a crime.”
Another critic of the rankings added, “This list is like annoying woman, pedophile, a–hole woman, abuser, rapist, woman.”
