Nick Cannon Claims ‘Super Sperm’ Allowed Him To Father Children While Using Birth Control

When it comes to making babies, Nick Cannon says there's little that can get in his way, thanks to his overzealous sperm. The father of 12 joked about his eager little soldiers while appearing on the Howie Mandel Does Stuff podcast, admitting that he's gotten women pregnant even when not trying.

In 2017, Nick admitted that he was hesitant to use condoms because of his battle with the autoimmune disease Lupus, according to the Daily Mail. "Why wear condoms? I might not be here tomorrow," he joked while appearing on The Howard Stern Show.

Back then Nick only had two children — twins Moroccan and Monroe — whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey.

Now, that comment feels more like foreshadowing instead of an off-the-cuff remark about safe sex.

Nick now has 12 children with six women.

It doesn't sound like the 42-year-old has changed his tune about condoms much over the years, but he has been a bit more focused on other forms of birth control. Except Nick says there may be little that works in his unique situation.

"I'm gonna be honest, I got some super sperm or something, 'cause I've practiced birth control, and people still got pregnant," he told Howie.

He admitted to changing his views on contraceptives.

The past few years have thrown a lot at Nick, who admits to trying to change. "I'm trying to be as responsible as I possibly can, learning lessons," he continued.

When asked if maybe those lessons have anything to do with growing his family further, Nick hedged his bets a bit and admitted he isn't ready to give a definitive answer. "I guess … yeah? I don't wanna say yeah, and then, like, you know, it's the reproductive system … it could happen at any time … I'm good with my dozen."

The last time Nick said he was taking a break from fathering more children he surprised fans with several more kids.

Maybe Nick doesn't want to jinx himself. Fans may remember that the Wild N Out star talked about starting a celibacy journey while also teasing the idea of getting a vasectomy back in May 2022.

Instead, Nick announced that he had several more babies on the way, bringing his then total of eight kids up to the current dozen.

We'll have to wait to find out if Nick is really done or if his 'super sperm' have other plans.

Nick's kids are all seriously cute, so we totally get why he wants to keep expanding his brood. However, with 11 living children to care for — his son Zen sadly died before his first birthday after battling a brain tumor — we get why he may want to hold off on having any more babies.

As each of his kids get older, they're going to want a whole lot more time and attention from dad, and that's going to be hard enough to do with the family he has now.
