Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter is facing some serious accusations — and this is not the first time this has happened in recent years. A woman has filed a lawsuit against Nick, claiming that he sexually assaulted her in 2003, when she was a minor at 15 years old and he was 23. This makes the third lawsuit of this nature that has plagued Nick, and the woman, who is remaining anonymous for now, has also accused Nick of giving her HPV, the sexually transmitted disease called human papillomavirus.

A woman who chose to be identified as 'AR' is accusing Nick of assaulting her three different times.
In the filing, the woman shared that the assaults happened on separate occasions — twice on his family's yacht and once on a bus — while she was 15 and Nick was 23, according to The Guardian. AR claimed she was a family friend of Nick's, and during one of the encounters, he allegedly invited three male friends to watch.
She is seeking $15,000 in damages.
Not only is she accusing Nick of assault, but she also claims he gave her HPV, and now, she wants him to pay for his alleged crimes.
"We hope that AR receives some measure of justice and that this lawsuit will pave the way for other survivors to hold their abusers to account," the woman's lawyer, Margaret Mabie, shared in a statement.
Nick has denied her allegations.
In a statement to the Los Angeles Times, Nick's attorney, Dale A. Hayes Jr., called the claims "ridiculous," pointing out that in the past, AR has tried to file a complaint against Nick but police ultimately decided against filing criminal charges.
"Repeating the same false allegations in a new legal complaint doesn’t make them any more true," Hayes said.

In December 2022, a different woman accused Nick of assault.
During a press conference that was live streamed on Facebook, a woman named Shannon "Shay" Ruth joined three others in a lawsuit accusing him of assault. Shannon, who is autistic and has cerebral palsy, said she was just 17 years old at the time. She also accused Nick of giving her HPV.
"Carter tried to scare me into silence … he was nasty and threatening," she said.
Years before this, Dream singer Melissa Schuman accused Nick of rape.
In 2017, Melissa wrote a blog post claiming that Nick had assaulted her in a bathroom in his apartment in 2002 and didn't believe that she could press charges at the time because she didn't have "the clout or access to an attorney who was powerful enough to stand up against my abuser’s legal counsel."
Melissa filed a suit against Nick earlier this year, and recently, a judge ruled that Nick would be able to file a counterclaim against her.
