North West looked very different at her latest public appearance. When she arrived at dad Kanye West's 46th birthday party on Saturday night, her face looked bloodied and bruised — but before you worry, there's an explanation for this that means nobody actually got hurt.

North arrived at the party with her dad's new wife.
North showed up at the shindig hand-in-hand with Bianca Censori, and the paparazzi photos that have surfaced from her arrival are a bit unnerving.
We can see that North's face looks to be a bit bloody here, which obviously raises all kinds of questions. Is she OK?
Fortunately, her injuries weren't quite what they seemed.
According to TMZ, those aren't actual injuries on her face — it's just special FX makeup, which is one of North's hobbies these days. And as far as we can tell, she's getting pretty good at it, because it all looks so real!
Talk about making a statement.
Later, North was seen helping her dad film a video.
North was behind the camera that evening when Kanye decided to film a video for his song "Off the Grid," in the parking lot. It's no surprise that he'd trust her as his director — we can already tell that even at 9 years old, North is a talented kid!

Ye's party has already proven to be a controversial one.
The party included a Japanese tradition called Nyotaimori, which is when sashimi and sushi are served on the body of a naked woman. Now, Ye is being called out for using the practice at his party by many who believe it's misogynistic.
Others really didn't like that it took place in front of his daughter. "He wasn't moved by the fact that North West was in attendance," one person tweeted.
This isn't the first time North has shown off her makeup skills.
In fact, she's put her makeup talents on display on the TikTok she shares with mom Kim Kardashian before, including in this (very gory) video from December 2022.
We're just glad that she was OK and that she got to spend some quality time with her dad.
