Following her breast cancer diagnosis and the treatment that followed, Olivia Munn is displaying her battle scars. Now that she’s showing off the scars from her double mastectomy in a new ad campaign for Kim Kardashian’s brand Skims, the mom of two says she’s “done being insecure” about the way her body looks.

Olivia's new campaign went live on Wednesday.
In the photos, Olivia poses in a variety of different bras and shapewear from the company without trying to mask the scars from her mastectomy. In March, the actress and model revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023, which led to her undergoing treatment that included surgery with the support of her now-husband, comedian John Mulaney, and their son, Malcolm.
Olivia decided to share her scars during the Skims shoot.
“In the middle of this latest @SKIMS campaign shoot, I decided I was done being insecure about my mastectomy scars,” she wrote in a post on Instagram where she shared photos from the photo session, including one where a scar on her breast is very prominent.
“Every mark life has left behind on my body is proof of how hard I fought. I hope other women who have been self-conscious about their scars see these photos and feel all the love I’m sending.”
She also talked about the Skims shoot while appearing on the 'Today' show.
“We were in the middle of the shoot and we were changing an outfit that could see more of my scars, and so the makeup artist was touching up my scars, and then we got to the double mastectomy scars and they were really hard to cover up,” Olivia said on the show. “And then I was looking in the mirror and I just thought, ‘I’m done being insecure about my scars.'”

She admitted it was 'really scary' to put her scars on display for the first time.
But now that she’s done it, she’s feeling relieved.
“I feel like this is something I’ve been hiding for a long time now, and it just feels like I can breath[e] a little bit more,” she said. “I just really hope that other women who have gone through my same path feel a little better after seeing it.”
Good for Olivia for taking this step.
Her body has been through a lot over the past few years, but it’s amazing to see how she was able to come out on the other side of it wanting to help others who have been through something similar. There’s no doubt it must have been scary for her to take the leap and show her scars, but in the end, she was able to create something so impactful.
