Who needs Saturday Night Live when the United States government is delivering what look like actual satire skits daily? Only in this case, it’s hard for some to grab their popcorn and watch from afar, since the decisions of officials like Attorney General Pam Bondi and President Donald Trump affect many Americans’ everyday lives.
In a clip of Bondi from a Senate hearing that was shared on X (formerly Twitter), she refers to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt as “trustworthy” as a way to defend her. And to many, the clip of that alone reads like satire comedy.
Then again, like I said, it’s hard not to see much of what is filmed and shared online about politics to be a bit of out of pocket humor these days.

Who knew Pam Bondi and Karoline Leavitt are BFFs?
On Oct. 7, 2025, Bondi attended a Senate Judiciary Committee meeting to testify about the deployment of National Guard members to Chicago. It is an arguably radical decision that many have commented about on social media and beyond.
And, as there continues to be push back from locals, as evidenced by protests in the city, there has also been criticism from Democrats in government positions.
During the meeting, per Politico, Bondi defended Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard to the city and cited it as evidence that Trump wants to keep Chicagoans safe from crime on the street.
However, in the clip shared on X, Bondi also defends Leavitt, who came up when U.S. Sen. Adam Schiff mentioned Tom Homan, the border czar, allegedly accepting $50,000 in cash as a bribe.
“White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt denied Homan took the $50,000,” Schiff said to Bondi at the meeting.
To that, she responded, “Karoline Leavitt is one of the most trustworthy human beings I know. And Sen. Schiff, if you worked for me, you would’ve been fired.”
After the clip of that went viral on X, users left comments to share their annoyance and confusion at Bondi going to bat so hard for Leavitt.
“If you have to say how trustworthy she is she is probably not that trustworthy,” one user commented on X.
Another said in the X thread, “I didn’t think you knew any human beings.” I mean, that’s a dig at both Bondi and Leavitt, and you have to admire the two-fer there.
Someone else wrote, of the entire meeting, “Performance theater for Trump and MAGA, just horrific to watch.”
It’s unclear how close of a working relationship Leavitt and Bondi have, but given Bondi’s comment, it does seem like she holds Leavitt in high regard. It’s not entirely surprising, given their mutual ties to Trump.
Still, Bondi’s claim about Leavitt’s trustworthiness was a bit overkill.
Now, many are lumping both women in with who they believe are the worst of the worst when it comes to Trump’s allies.
“I was trying to decide who is the most embarrassing and incompetent member of Trump’s inner circle,” someone wrote in an X post. “Pete Hegseth, Karoline Leavitt, and Kash Patel are definitely ones to watch, but Pam Bondi is a real up-and-comer.”
