Paris Hilton Has Done 7 Rounds of IVF & Has 20 Boy Embryos but Is Still Trying for a Girl

Paris Hilton and her husband, Carter Reum, are the proud parents of a little boy. The couple welcomed Phoenix via surrogate last month, and even though they're settling into their roles as mom and dad, they already have plans for more kids.

Paris recently shared more details of her journey to parenthood, and it includes a lot of embryos.

Talking to Glamour UK, Paris shared that she and Carter are already talking about more babies, something they've been discussing since before they married.

"Carter and I had already been talking about the future, and then the world was shut down," she explained, referencing the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"So I was like, 'What do you think about us making embryos?' And he said, 'Yeah, let's do it.'"

And that's when the couple started in-vitro fertilization, or IVF, and went through several rounds.

"We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, 'This is perfect timing. Usually I'm on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let's just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,' and we have tons of them just waiting," Paris told People.

Since deciding to grow their family and have some eggs 'stocked and ready,' Paris and Carter have done just that.

"We've done it seven times," Paris admitted.

The couple, who married in November 2021, have been successful with IVF, freezing 20 embryos through the process.

But it doesn't sound like they're done with IVF, even with their stockpile of 20 frozen embryos.

"I have all boys. I have 20 boys," Paris shared with Glamour.

Paris shared that she and Carter aren't done with IVF, however, because they're really hoping to have a girl embryo.

"I just went through the process again a month ago, so I'm waiting for the results to see if there's any girls," Paris admitted.

Paris has wanted to be a mom for a long time, and she's loving parenthood so far.

Paris has always been open about her desire to be a mom and how much she wants a baby girl too. Last year, Paris told Ellen DeGeneres she wanted "two or three" kids and already had names chosen.

"The girl is gonna be named London Marilyn Hilton Reum," she said. "Marilyn after my grandmother and London because it's my favorite city and I think Paris and London sound cute together."

Now, as the mama to a little boy, Paris is excited for the future.

"It's always been my dream to be a mother and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other," Paris told People.

"We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."
