People’s looks naturally change as they get older, but for Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, it seems like those changes might have happened overnight.
After the couple appeared at one of the World Cup matches that were hosted in Kansas City last week, people are convinced that there’s something different about these two. So is it the picture, or did something actually change?
Patrick and Brittany were front and center at the June 16 game.
As People reported, Patrick and Brittany turned up at Arrowhead Stadium (or, during the World Cup, Kansas City Stadium) for the Argentina and Algeria match. Patrick was set to present the game ball, and Brittany joined him for the moment, which was probably pretty special to her, since she is a former professional soccer player herself.
This was the first World Cup match played in Kansas City, so it was only right that Patrick was there to see it through — after all, the stadium is his place of work.
The comments on Patrick’s Instagram post about their experience have been overwhelmingly positive (which isn’t too surprising, since most people who follow him would be fans of him and his wife), but that’s definitely not the case on Reddit, where the couple is being absolutely ripped to shreds.
People have a lot of questions about the way the both of them look.
In certain photos from the event, Patrick and Brittany do look a bit different — something seems to have changed since the last time they were photographed in public like this, but it’s hard to put your finger on exactly what it is.
That isn’t stopping people on Reddit from trying, though, and the theories that some people are coming up with are wild.
Some are speculating that Patrick might be under the influence of something because of his half-closed eyes, while others think that Brittany must have quietly gone under the knife in recent weeks.
“It’s like she got something done to her chin. It looks bad whatever she has been doing. Face looks super puffy. Too much filler I am guessing,” one person wrote.
They also co-starred in a new commercial together.
These two have been having a big week when it comes to the World Cup. Their commercial for Dick’s Sporting Goods is here, and Brittany and Patrick are transported onto the field to play in the big game as soon as he touches a ball that’s on display in the store.
No matter what people are saying online, it looks like they’ve having a good time, which is probably all they care about. But seriously… did their faces change, or are we all just making it up?
