What to Know
If you spend any time on social media, you’ve probably already seen the trend where a couple paints a portrait of each other and then shows off the (typically hilarious) result, and now, it’s Kansas City Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes‘ turn to try out this trend with his wife, Brittany. There’s just one problem:
The video of the results is going viral because of just how bad Patrick’s painting is.
As a part of Patrick’s partnership with CommunityAmerica Credit Union, the bank shared a video of their portraits on Instagram, and they’re just too funny.
Brittany went first, showing off a portrait that she painted of Patrick that actually does look a lot like him — she’s not half bad at this! Patrick told her that she did a “pretty good job,” noting that his curly hair was his favorite part of the painting.
Then, it was Patrick’s turn to reveal his masterpiece … and let’s just say that he may not be the artistic one in their family.
Brittany’s reaction to the portrait is too perfect, and fortunately, she kept a good sense of humor about it, because this was absolutely not a flattering painting created by her husband, and commenters on the post did not hesitate to point that out.
“Pat did her foul!” one commenter wrote, adding a laughing emoji.
Another commenter added, “I can tell @patrickmahomes knew he was in trouble when he saw her portrait was pretty good.”
Brittany’s painting also got plenty of compliments — it seems like everyone agrees that she is the winner of this competition.
“What matters the most is that they had fun doing this together,” one person wrote. Hopefully, they did still have fun after Patrick showed his wife his vision of her on the canvas!
The credit union also shared a video of Patrick and Brittany playing a different game together, where they had to finish each other’s sentences.
Fortunately, without any paint around, that challenge seemed to be a much more successful one for those two, which might be for the best.
Patrick might be an NFL star, but a few art classes probably wouldn’t hurt.
