Pete Davidson is about to become a dad, and he’s totally over the moon. Days after his girlfriend, model Elsie Hewitt, confirmed that the couple is expecting their first child, Pete gushed over their baby news during his Tuesday night appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. For him, this is a total dream come true.
When Jimmy brought up the fact that Pete is “about to be a dad” on the show, the former Saturday Night Live star gave the audience two thumbs up.
“If anybody who knows me, it’s my dream to be a dad so I’m so excited,” Pete said. “Elsie’s excited. I’m excited to see her be a mom, so we’re stoked.”

Jimmy said that after seeing Pete around kids, he knows he’ll be a great dad – and as a father of two himself, his opinion does come with a bit of authority.
“Everything else doesn’t really matter anymore. It’s nice!” Pete said.
TMZ was the first to report the news of Elsie’s pregnancy on July 16, with sources telling the outlet that the baby is due this winter and that she and Pete “couldn’t be more excited.”
Later the same day, Elsie took to Instagram to confirm that she and Pete are expecting, sharing photos and videos from her pregnancy journey so far. “Welp now everyone knows we had sex,” she wrote in the caption.
Long before their pregnancy news broke, it appeared things were getting serious between Pete and Elsie. In May, a source told People that the couple had moved in together in New York less than two months after they took their relationship public.
“Pete and Elsie have been living together in New York for the past few months,” the insider said at the time. “They’re splitting their time between Pete’s house in upstate New York and a brownstone they recently started renting in Brooklyn. They’re so happy together and doing great.”
