Talk about on the job training! Pink has revealed that she's bringing her 11-year-old daughter Willow on tour with her, where the tween will have an important job to do. While Pink didn't disclose exactly what that would be, she did reveal Willow would be collecting a paycheck and all we want to know is how can we get Pink to hire us?
Pink shared her news while she was on the 'Today Show.'
The pop star is getting ready to hit the road, but before she does, she stopped by the morning show to dish on how she's using this opportunity to teach her daughter some entrepreneurial spirit.
"Willow has a job on tour," she confessed on Tuesday's show.
Willow will be well paid for her time.
Concerned fans — and perhaps even the Department of Labor — don't need to worry that Pink is trying to take advantage of her daughter. Instead, the mother of two is using this opportunity as a learning experience.
"We just had to go over minimum wage and it's different state to state," she explained of trying to get her daughter well compensated for her work.
Unfortunately, Willow had to learn a hard lesson about negotiating.
It sounds like Pink will make a tough but fair boss, too. "I said it's about $22.50 a show depending how long I go, if I run over. She goes, 'I'll take $20. it's easier to do the math,'" Pink continued.
"I'm like 'That’s not how you negotiate for yourself!' I'm like, 'You'll take $25 so it's easier math.'"
Pink didn't get into specifics when it comes to Willow's job duties.
We're not exactly sure what Willow will be doing to help her mom while she's on tour yet, so we can't exactly say whether she's going to be enjoying her job or not.
That being said, what 11-year-old wouldn't be thrilled to have this kind of story to share with their friends, no matter what type of work she actually ends up doing?
It sounds like the whole family will be traveling together.
Pink will likely also be joined by husband Carey Hart and their son Jameson. We hope they all have a blast getting to spend so much time on the road together.
We're sure Pink and Willow will both make time in their grueling schedules to squeeze in a whole lot of fun.
