Just about everyone has a celebrity crush, so why would members of the royal family be any different? There’s just one problem, though — apparently, Prince Harry‘s celebrity crush is causing some major problems in his marriage to Meghan Markle.
A Sussex insider claims in a new report that Harry is so obsessed with Jennifer Lopez that it’s driving Meghan “up the wall with jealousy,” especially now that he’s determined to get J.Lo to participate in his next charity project.
Harry has reportedly been trying to connect with J.Lo recently.
A source in the know told Radar Online that Harry is bound and determined to outdo older brother Prince William by getting a big celebrity to take part in his philanthropy.
“Harry is very competitive and seeing his brother, Prince William, reel in all these big names for his philanthropic efforts has lit a fire under him,” the source said. “He’s the one in Hollywood and he’s saying it ought to be him who gets the biggest names.”
He isn’t just determined to get J.Lo to collaborate with him, just bigger celebrities in general… but it sounds like the singer is absolutely his first choice.
After seeing Harry and J.Lo interact, though, Meghan is feeling “jealous.”
The insider went on to say that Harry has been “very taken with her since they met” for the first time back in 2020. Meghan was present, and it sounds like she got a front row seat to her husband’s endless conversation with the star.
“Most men are totally captured by her, and Harry is only human,” the source added.
But Meghan is only human, too, and supposedly “left that dinner feeling very jealous.”
It sounds like he’s at least trying not to upset his wife in the process, though.
Despite Harry’s crush, the insider claims that there’s never been anything actually going on between him and J.Lo.
“There’s certainly nothing shady going on, but it’s hard to imagine that Meghan will be all that pleased about this,” they added. “If he can get her to make an appearance at an event for the Invictus Games, it would be phenomenal for the organization and a thrill for him, too.”
In the meantime, though, it sounds like he’s keeping his efforts quiet. The source said, “Until Harry gets her on board, he’ll keep it to himself, he’s not going to want to rock the boat for no reason.”
