As the future king and queen of England, it’s to be expected that Prince William and Kate Middleton are going to be the subject of rumors from time to time — usually the kind that aren’t actually rooted in truth. But now, some fans are convinced they have some pretty damning evidence that the couple is no longer living together.
A new video of Prince Charlotte and Prince George arriving at Kensington Palace with overnight bags has gone viral on social media, leaving people to speculate that they’re spending time with their dad because their parents must be separated.
The video shows George and Charlotte arriving in a helicopter.

The video appears to have been taken on a snowy day in London, when George, Charlotte, and dad William arrived at Kensington Palace via helicopter (along with a couple of the family’s puppies).
As the three walk away from the helicopter, George can be seen wearing a backpack, while Charlotte has a large overnight bag slung over her shoulder. Their mom is nowhere to be seen in the footage.
“At least the coparenting appears to be going well,” the user on X who first posted the video wrote. “Here are Charlotte & George captured arriving by helicopter at Kensington Palace with their overnight bags. It’s been obvious for a while that Willy & Kate are separated & the kids shuttle between their parents’ homes.”
People are convinced this means Will and Kate are headed for divorce.
In the replies, people seemed to largely agree that this is irrefutable proof that the couple is truly no longer together and are living in separate places — Will at the palace, and Kate likely at the family’s new residence, Forest Lodge.
“Guess that explains all the helicopter miles then,” one person wrote on X, referencing how often William has been flying recently.
Others pointed out that it was strange that Prince Louis wasn’t with them, writing, “Also, why is Louis never with them? It’s cruel to always separated the siblings. He’s hardly seen with either parent during individual outings… it’s almost always George or Charlotte.”
Just days later, the couple made their first joint appearance of 2026 together.
This week, Will and Kate paid a visit to NHS workers at Charing Cross Hospital, where they also met with brain injury survivors.
So are they actually broken up and playing nice for the cameras, or were Will and the kids spending the night at Kensington Palace for a different reason? This could get interesting!
