Until the end of time, married couples will likely argue about whether or not it’s safe for one of them to ride a motorcycle, and not even royal couples are exempt! During an appearance in Ireland on Thursday, Prince William hopped on the back of a motorbike, despite the fact that wife Kate Middleton has said his former biking hobby filled her with “horror.”

Will hopped on the back of the bike this week.
While the Prince of Wales visited the Virtual Production Studio at Ulster Universityās Belfast City Campus, he had the chance to jump on the back of a stationary motorbike as video screens all around him made it look like he was riding through the desert in Arizona, as Hello! magazine reported.
“Any excuse to get on a motorbike!” he said.
He said that the experience was 'incredibly realistic.'
“I love that exhaust,” he joked, while also adding, “I feel like someone needs to take this for a real spin.”
It looks like the motorbike is staying put for now, and as far as Will’s wife is concerned, that might be a good thing.

Riding motorcycles was once a much bigger part of William's life.
AsĀ People reported, William was still riding his motorbike until relatively recently, and during a 2015 visit to Scotland, Kate spokeĀ about how it wasn’t a hobby she wanted him to have.
āHeās still riding it,ā she said at the time. āIt always fills me with horror when he goes out on it. Iām terrified. Hopefully Iām going to keep George off of it.”
He gave up the hobby by 2018.
When he visited the Isle of Man in 2018, William confirmed that his motorbike riding days were behind him now that he was fully in dad mode.
āIām a dad of three. I have to tone it down,ā he said. āI miss the big trips. For me, biking was always about being with everybody else.ā
Fortunately, it doesn't seem like Kate will be too mad to find out he was on the back of a bike again.
After all, it can’t go anywhere ā and footage of William’s time on the stationary motorbikeĀ hasĀ been shared on their official social media accounts.
It looks like William had a blast. There’s no doubt he misses riding, but good on him for playing it safe as a dadĀ and future king.
