Now that Kate Middleton has had more time to rest following her chemotherapy treatment, she’s been slowly getting back to work. And according to what her husband said during a recent royal engagement, we can only expect to see more of her in the coming year. Prince William even said that the Princess of Wales will “hopefully” be joining him in his travels again.

Kate came up in conversation during William's trip to South Africa.
The Prince of Wales recently returned from a trip to Cape Town, South Africa, where he hosted the Earthshot Prize Awards. Though he made the trip without his wife this time around, it sounds like he’s optimistic that may not be the case next year.
“Hopefully Catherine will be doing a bit more next year, so we’ll have some more trips maybe lined up,” he said, according to People.
Will also shared the way that he and Kate are both trying to do things 'differently.'
As William prepares to be king eventually, during his Cape Town trip, he said that he’s trying to approach his role in a new way. In his words, he’s trying to “do it for my generation.”
“I’m doing it with maybe a smaller ‘r’ in the royal, if you like. It’s more about impact, philanthropy, collaboration, convening and helping people,” he said. “I’m also going to throw empathy in there as well, because I really care about what I do. It helps impact people’s lives. I think we could do with some more empathetic leadership around the world. So that’s what I’m trying to bring, what Catherine is trying to bring as well.”
Kate made two appearances over the weekend.
She attended the Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall on Saturday and also the Remembrance Sunday ceremony the following day. The occasion pays tribute to members of the British military who lost their lives while serving.

It was an important appearance for her to make.
And not just because of the importance and the gravity of the occasion, according to what royal expert Sally Bedell Smith told People.
“She is clearly a vital piece of the royal family, a really important both symbolically and in reality as a future Queen. It was good that people saw her. You can’t say she is back … but she is coming back,” Sally said.
Hopefully, 2025 will be a fresh start for Kate and her family.
With both Kate and King Charles being diagnosed with cancer over the past year, there’s no doubt it’s been a difficult year for the entire family. Here’s hoping that 2025 brings better health and happiness for the family — and of course, our fingers are crossed that we’ll get to see more of Kate, too.
