When it comes to keeping her marriage happy, Kate Middleton reportedly employs some of the same tricks she does with the littlest royals, according to a former Kensington Palace staffer. The former employee claims that the Princess of Wales treats her temperamental husband Prince William the same way as their three children when it comes to keeping the peace.

"Kate treats him [William] like the fourth child because he's prone to tantrums," the insider alleged of the pair, who share 9-year-old Prince George, 8-year-old Princess Charlotte, and 5-year-old Prince Louis.
The former employee also elaborated on some of William's tantrums, which Tom shared with the Express, and it sounds like they can both get a bit feisty when they're having it out.
Things aren't always perfect between the pair, despite appearances.
William and Kate may seem like they have everything, but the unnamed insider says that they "do have rows" from time to time.
"They have terrific rows. But, where some couples have a row and throw heavy vases at each other, William and Kate throw cushions at each other," Tom continued, repeating what he'd been told by his source. "It's always kept under control."
The public never gets wind of these fights because they like to follow Queen Elizabeth's golden rule.
One of the reasons the late Queen was so beloved was because she didn't publicly air her grievances. In fact, she even had a handy little motto that she shared with the rest of the royals in the hope they'd follow suit: never complain, never explain.
Tom says William and Kate both try to follow her example as best they can.
It's definitely working in their favor.
"Because William adopts the manners and ways of behaving of his grandmother, and Kate is very good at not complaining, both of them have stuck to the thing that made Queen Elizabeth II such a remarkable monarch," Tom continued.
"They very rarely complain, and when they do, it's always in measured terms."

The pair have a lot of responsibility on their shoulders.

Not that we're condoning throwing pillows or treating husbands like children, but considering William is next in line for the throne (which means Kate will be the United Kingdom's next queen), they likely both have a lot more on their minds than the rest of us.
It seems like whatever they're doing behind closed doors is working for them though. As long as they're happy, we guess that's all that matters!
