Princess Kalina of Bulgaria stepped out for her first appearance since 2020, and the drastic change in her physical appearance became the buzz of the media, causing concern amongst many royal watchers. The princess attended a funeral ceremony on May, 29, 2024, alongside her husband Antonio José (Kitin) Muñoz Valcárcel and their son, Simeon-Hassan Muñoz. The 52-year-old royal wore a geometric-print dress, a white scarf tied around her neck, and open-toed sandals.

The princess' muscular appearance threw people off.
In the recent photos seen of Princess Kalina, she appears very toned and muscular. Of some of the nasty comments, here are a few negative remarks people gave about her appearance. "She is pretty hard to look at…," one person wrote. "The man with the muscles looks 80," another person commented.
Kalina responded to the criticism.
In an interview with the LOC outlet, according to EssaNews, Princess Kalina commented on her appearance. "I am dedicated to training with weight loads and body health," she said. "I am an athlete."

Some people suspected she is on steroids.
While commenting on Princess Kalina's appearance, some people speculated that she is on steroids.
"Well she must know herself that steroids are not helping her to look the graceful Disney princess we are expecting," one person wrote.
"Wouldn't want to cross her or meet her down a dark alley late at night….," another person commented. "But I think that's the result of hitting the steroids hard – really hard…. ."
Her husband has commented on her appearance.
The princess' husband, Kitín, has praised his wife's appearance. He says that her "excellent physical shape" is because of "a healthy lifestyle, daily training, and good nutrition." He added, "Something that is not only reflected in her good muscle tone but also in her beautiful face."
