Reporter Keltie Knight Lost a 4-Carat Diamond on the Golden Globes Red Carpet

The 2024 Golden Globes were an unforgettable night by many of those who attended, but for at least one person who was at the event, it's not for a very good reason. E! News reporter Keltie Knight lost a diamond from her ring while covering the awards, and not only did she document the saga on social media but she also issued a plea for celebrities on the red carpet to help her find it. Considering that this is a four-carat diamond we're talking about, this loss had to hurt.

Keltie took to Instagram to share what happened.

In a selfie video she took right from the red carpet, Keltie revealed that she was having a "Golden Globes emergency."

"If you're a celebrity and you see a four carat diamond on the red carpet, please return it to Keltie Knight at E! because it's gone, and … it's real," she said, showing her ring with the missing stone.

Four-carat diamonds usually cost around $50,000 and more, depending on the quality, so it's no wonder she was panicking!

She later shared the last video she took with the ring on her finger.

In this video that she posted from her "glam room" as she got ready to hit the carpet, we can easily see Keltie's ring on her finger, totally intact — and at this point, she had no clue that disaster would strike just hours later.

Keltie has been married to Chris Knight since 2013, and it looks like the stone missing is from her engagement ring, which is so heartbreaking.

She offered up more details in her Instagram Stories.

Keltie shared a photo of herself on her hands and knees on the red carpet, trying to find the diamond, on her Instagram Stories. In another slide, she explained the timeline: "Clue #1: I had the diamond when I finished makeup because we cleaned it. When I did photos it was gone."

She didn't let it distract her, though.

Keltie went on to continue reporting live from the red carpet and even ended up having a pretty funny conversation about the Real Housewives of Salt Lake with Jennifer Lawrence.

All in all, it appears she made the best of her night, despite the unfortunate circumstances.

Her diamond still hasn't turned up.

It's easy to see how it would be almost impossible to find a diamond with all of the activity (and even celebrity-infused chaos) that must have been happening on that red carpet Sunday night.

Maybe the crews responsible for cleaning up will be able to find it as they roll up the red carpet. Our fingers are crossed for a happy update from Keltie!
