The Kardashian-Jenner family might be one of the most famous celebrity dynasties in the United States, but the original patriarch, Robert Kardashian, is still a big part of the family’s story. After his 2003 death, his wife Ellen Pierson began to release excerpts from his diaries, and now, those excerpts have gone viral all over again thanks to a post on TikTok.
In the video, a TikToker shares what Robert is alleged to have written in his diaries about ex-wife Kris Jenner and raising their kids together. From the leaked passages, Robert had no shortage of issues with his wife, whom he divorced in 1991 after more than 10 years of marriage.
The diary entries put Kris Jenner on blast.

In the TikTok video, the diary entry is from 1990, before Kris and Robert got divorced. It showed how Kris was as a mother to her children when they were much younger. Or, rather, Robert’s perception of Kris as a mother. He wrote in the entry that a young Kourtney was crying over Kris not being home to cook dinner or spend time with the family.
“How sad that a child has to beg her mother to cook her dinner and be home with her,” Robert wrote in his diary. He also admitted to arguing with Kris in front of their four children and having shouting matches that the kids saw plenty of before Kris and Robert got divorced.
In another apparent diary entry, Robert wrote of Kris allegedly sleeping with someone “all nite” and, by extension, neglecting her children.
“I was home alone with four kids,” he wrote on one Christmas day. “I put them to bed and played with them.”
I mean, we don’t need to sound the alarms because a dad had to take care of his kids, but clearly, Robert’s diary left no stone unturned when it comes to Kris.
People think Kourtney Kardashian’s behavior makes more sense now.
In the comments under that TikTok, people shared that they think Kourtney Kardashian’s behavior is a lot more understandable, given the reported entries from Robert’s diaries.
“I hope everyone can try to understand Kourtney more now,” someone commented.
Another user added, “And people wanna villianize Kourtney for how she treats Kris.”
Kourtney doesn’t shun Kris or shut out her mother by any means, at least from what viewers have seen on The Kardashians. But she has spoken out on television before about her resentment of her mother at times. The diaries sort of back that up.
“We all can’t blame Kourtney for being emotionally guarded around her family,” someone added. “They were not there as a child when she needed them and can’t expect her [to be] there when she’s grown.”

In another TikTok where someone shares some of what Robert wrote in his diary entries, she explains that Robert made predictions about his kids’ futures. From Kourtney’s resentment of Kris in some ways to Kim Kardashian being “drawn to successful men who reflect glamour,” Robert really clocked everyone before his death.
He also wrote that Rob was confused. And, as we’ve seen of Rob later in life, he had a hard time breaking into fame and success the same way as his sisters. As the user in the TikTok puts it, “Senior Rob was able to call that out right then and there, which is pretty crazy, if you ask me. He, I think, nailed it right on the head as far as his predictions for his kids.”
